This usually is a pretty fun article. A few days ago we posted the “KPGFootball Scorecard.” On that document we memorialized the matchup and just who we believed would win and why. What we do in the scorecard is give you the solution. What we don’t do is demonstrate how we worked the problem. Thursdays, during the football season, we often publish an article which “shows our math.” If you read this article you will see why we picked the teams we picked to win and why we picked the teams we picked to lose. You may not agree and that is okay. We are wrong between 10-15% of the time. It makes for fine reading and generous discussion. Enjoy the article.

Tavares Burgess from the Christian County Tigers is our Lasaters Coffee & Tea Player of the Week for the program’s inaugural win #Kentuckys #fletcherwlong #LeadershipLegacy #CoachingExcellence #MentorshipMatters #characterbuilding #SportsLeadership #BuildingChampions #kentuckyfootball #highschoolfootball #DisciplineAndDedication #athletics #successmindset #bookstagram #booklovers @KatherineL58069, @TavaresBurgess, @coachclsmit, @ChiefSmoke10, @LasatersCoffee, @bigassfans, @CoachJEzell, @eCampusdotcom, @HenryMi74881410, @HopHighTigers, @FC_FALCONS_FB

For an inaugural journey through Kentuck’s largest classification, the first win didn’t take too terribly long and came on the road playing a ranked Tennessee opponent. Oh well, we do study this topic sufficiently to know a few things about a few things. The win was glorious and somewhat unexpected as the Tigers were at least two TD underdogs by most services which handicap high school football games. Burgess played well with a Pick 6, a pass broken up, 81-kick-off return yards, and six overall tackles. Burgess was a three phase contributor and had a stamp all over his team’s efforts. Burgess also claims our third, in-season (2026), Lasater’s Player of the Week Award. Enjoy the feature.

Kameron Wilson is among the more versatile performers in the ’27 class Kameron Wilson is the leading rusher for the Caldwell County Tigers (6-2). That isn’t close to all he is. Wilson leads the club in TDs rushing, TDs receiving, average yards per carry (12+ per), and scoring (12.8 per […]

Parker Rudolph (’26 RB/Safety) from Kentucky Country Day (KCD) is the Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @Rudolph13Parker, @kcdathletics, @KCDFootball1, @eCampusdotcom, @Ale8One, @bigassfans, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball

We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. Parker Rudolph is having a fine season particularly for a 1A RB on an undefeated, contending football team, so we thought we would honor him today. Enjoy this look at Parker Rudolph, our Big Ass Fans, Kentucky Comfort Creator!

We are going to have to start calling them the “Heartbreak Wildcats” pretty soon if things don’t start trending differently. Trigg County has dropped consecutive, one-point defeats to the toughest of competition under very strange and almost lightening-striking-ish type situations. Still, the play the team is getting from its sophomore QB is extraordinary. Cade Scott is a superlatively good, three sport, varsity athlete who excels at FB (QB), basketball (SG), and baseball (OF/LHP). He is completing nearly 75% of his passing attempts and putting the offense in situations where it should and, often has, thrived. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

Hopkinsville High entertains Prosser Career Academy (Chicago, IL) Saturday Night @KatherineL58069, @bigassfans, @Ale8One, @HopHighTigers, @Prosser_FB

Not all games are played on Friday Nights. Increasingly, games are being showcased on Saturdays and even Thursdays. Hoptown is entertaining a public school from Chicago, Illinois tonight. It is the Prosser Career Academy and the Falcons enter the game 1-0 on the young season. Hoptown (1-1) looks to be more than the Falcons can handle on paper at least and we like the Tigers by a sizable margin over the visiting team from Chi-Town. Enjoy this bit of Saturday Night special.

We have a radio/podcast which is among the highest rated shows of its type across the commonwealth (Friday Night, Kentucky). Having a talent like, Scott Fitzgerald, to host the show with me is the real key to our success. When we convene this weekend, we will discuss some of these games and you will know whether I was right or wrong in my forecasts. Enjoy this “behind the scenes” look at the level of preparation it takes to produce the show you hear weekly.
