’24 TE/LB is an ‘old school’ type TE who catches the football with physicality We have talked to various members of the Storm’s football coaching staff and they seem to really like what this prospect brings to the table at TE. It is not that we don’t, but he was […]

Reese Belt led the Storm in several critical statistical categories in ’22, what might he do with a full slate of game-action in ’23? @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLpreps @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps

When you look at The Storm’s defensive numbers from ’22 something jumps off the page at the inquisitor. How in the world did a guy who only registered seven (7) games of fun lead the team in such critical statistical categories as TFL’s, QB-sacks, and FF’s (forced fumbles)? Good question…good thing for you this article may have some answers. FL.

Here is a kid who has been out in the working world and realizes that college degree changes his entire career arc. He is getting an opportunity to go to Barbourville, Kentucky and play for John Luttrell’s “Bulldogs.” Coach Chris Manning at Hopkins County Central has made it happen for him. That is the kind of man for whom I would want my son to play. HB.

Okay, Central wanted to win Friday night and wanted to knot its regular season record at 5-5 instead of the 4-6 finish it has experienced. All of that is true. However, there is a component of “next year” in every football program and a constant forward progression which must occur. There are lots of things to which to look forward if you are a Storm-watcher. One of those is the brilliant and composed play of its very young, freshman QB and heir-apparent to the keys to a potent offensive attack. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Jaden Brasher put himself in the KHSAA records books right before our very eyes. We had an agent in the press box who watched the ’23 QB throw five (5) TD passes in the first half of the game with Calloway County. Five (5) TD passes in one half of play isn’t the record, but it is among the best performances in one half of play in KHSAA history. If that isn’t prize package worthy, than what in the heck is? HB.
