Well with the performances we are regularly seeing around Kentucky these days, it was bound to happen. We have a week we had to give out two awards. We got special permission to do it this one time so don’t be thinking this will become a “regular thing.” Matt Anderson is a top-flight sophomore RB whose performance Friday night was unbelievable. Anthony Johns is a hulking OL who also plays defense for a team which took down the defending state champion and top ranked team, Somerset, on this past Friday night. The game was in Somerset. This may be the top matchup in Kentucky the opening weekend of high school football. If we could get the ESPN family of networks to pick it up it would make quite a showcase for the quality of the Kentucky high school game. Enjoy this look at this tremendous early season test for both teams.
Mason Moore is a player whose full potential is only just now starting to come to the fore. He is a 6-0, 180-pound safety man for Lexington Christian Academy and part of the best collection of 2022’s on any one football team, regardless of classification playing high school football in the commonwealth of Kentucky.
