Kylan Combs from Breathitt has taken the long way home @combs_kory, @Elithomas1219, @BreathittFb, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @eCampusdotcom

Among my favorite groups in the seventies was the group “Supertramp.” They had a wonderful song entitled, “Take the Long Way Home” released in 1979. Kylan Combs knows all about taking the long way to anywhere. Combs’s home is on a football field, positioned at safety, or anywhere on a gridiron actually. You see, Kylan Combs is a “Combs.” In the Appalachias, you don’t have to say any more. We fully understand the level of citizenship that surname requires and signifies and the football playing effort and talent associated with that particular family throughout the region. Kylan Combs has taken the long way home to stardom in Breathitt’s defensive third level once again and has made another of our Small School All-State Football Teams (Big Ass Fans) and we are mighty glad to welcome him home. Is this the face of Kentucky’s best two-way, ’26 lineman? For our money it is… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @1776Bank @bchsbaby @BreathittCoach @SawyerHall19

The words, “the best…” can get thrown around and excessively used. No outfit is anymore aware of this than we. In the end, it amounts to a bunch of hyperbole and little more most times. However, every now and then the term is used and appears accurate. This may well be one of those times. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Region IV says, ‘It’s time to let the big hogs eat!’ @OfficialKYMSFA #BattleoftheRegions

The Battle of the Regions is this coming weekend and will be played at East and West Jessamine. This will be quite a spectacle and has taken the place of the old KYMSFA East vs. West game which used to be played annually in Frankfort, Kentucky on the campus of Kentucky State University. This won’t be a battle for the timid. Players in this bad boy better show up ready to rumble. We can’t wait. Enjoy the article. HB.

As we say farewell to another group of ballers we have covered since they played in middle school, we get to meet and update our database with an entire new class of up-and-coming stars who will play their freshman seasons this coming Fall. Many of these guys will start on Friday Night sometime during their initial campaigns. Some of these guys will start night one, snap one and we aren’t talking about on specials either. Today, we are highlighting a kid we call around the magazine a “No-doubter.” Why? Well, you may have to just read this article and find out. HB.
