I know you were anxiously awaiting these picks, so here they are. Here are our predicted winners from the upcoming State Championship weekend for all six of Kentucky’s classifications. HB Lyons.
Looking back a few years, here was our very first Freshman All-State Football team. It really is scary how very accurate we were. Four years later, many of these guys are still the “big dogs” around the KHSAA at their respective positions. To make this team, you had to produce on Friday nights. We didn’t evaluate freshman or JV highlights then. Still don’t now. HB.
Well we have some more of the world’s finest beef jerky to award this coming Wednesday in the weekly “Protein-packed Performer of the Week” and there were some strong performances around the commonwealth from which to choose. There seems to be a movement among some of Kentucky’s definitive players at their respective positions to spurn offers from “larger” programs to attend schools like Centre College. Many people have expressed surprise with the in-roads Centre’s football program has made with top-notch ’21 Kentucky prospects. However, should anyone really be surprised? We don’t think so!
We have been high on this kid since he was a freshman. He was a KPGFootball, underclassman All-Stater and he comes in at No. 12 on the preseason top-30 list over on BGR. We love him around the magazine. Read this and you will too.
Every list ever published extolling the ability of any body of people have had people undervalued on the list, people overvalued on the list, and people glaringly omitted. No list is perfect. BoyleCo has done yeoman’s work here, and while we may not agree with the order, we can’t argue with any of the thirty he listed. We can and will give our opinion…and here it is. Enjoy the article.
