This Friday night the Pilots will guide its ship into an unfriendly port. Morton’s Gap will host this ball game which will be pivotal regarding how the Storm enters the upcoming playoffs. We don’t even know what to say about the Storm after its impressive “beat down” of Webster County, 29-0. Manning made some changes to the deployment of personnel both on offense and defense to put kids in better positions to succeed and succeed they did. Tonight, the Storm will travel to Dixon, KY to take on an always tough, McLean County team. How do the Storm finish the final four of the regular season? Seems like we have been here before.

Max Gibbs is a 10th-grade, rising Junior, dual-threat QB who has hit the national circuit and has really impressed. He attended the most recent QB Hit List combine and has come away with both a national ranking at his position and a star-rating. Someone contacted old Coach Lyons and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to start. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A.
