’28 lineman had his moments for the Falcons in ’25 and promises to be a fixture along the fronts next season
Jason Perry is an example of the type frames and development occurring under Coach Henry Mitchell at Fort Campbell High. Perry has plenty of height (6’4″) and length but could stand to add some “good weight” this offseason. If he could get his 190-pound frame up to around 235, we would be cooking with grease. Still, in his nine games of action Perry did plenty to make the home fans excited about what he will bring to the roster and lineup over the course of his junior year.

Oak Grove, KY: Jason Perry has the frame and measurements for which colleges perpetually search. You can’t coach 6’4.”

Marshall Patterson
If you take a deep dive into the kid’s production, he has several additional character traits which bode well for his future HS stardom. Perry played in nine games for the Fort Campbell Falcons as a sophomore. Over that period he registered 13-tackles and a pair of fumble recoveries.
Recovering a pair of fumbles is a good attribute. There is always something to be said about a defensive player who is “around the football.”
Of course Perry pulled double duty for the Falcons. Perry also started offensively at Offensive Tackle.
With Perry upfront, the offensive was pretty productive. Keshawn Dixon had an all-state caliber season, rushing for 1,539-yards and 16-TDs.
Tanner Walters threw for nearly a thousand yards and 14-TDs. Dixon (10.2) and JaCaryous Perryman(6.0) scored a smidge over 16-points, between them, a game. None of that occurs with out some blocking upfront.

Now people are accustomed to lauding all the credit for big statistics on the compiler. We are here to tell you 1,500-yard, rushing seasons don’t happen in a vacuum; they don’t happen without some help.
We expect Perry to continue to develop for the Falcons into a terror off the edge defensively and a fixture on the offensive line. How good he ends up being will be directly related to the work he is willing to undergo in the offseason.
Fort Campbell is coming off consecutive seasons where it may be said the Falcons overachieved. One thing appears certain, the Falcons are “getting it done” in the coaching department.
Perry has the frame to be as good as he is willing to work to be in the offseason
Friday Night Fletch
Performances like Perry’s, a sophomore who came into the year with little fanfare or ballyhoo, but who really contributed on both sides of the scrimmage lines in extraordinary ways, are really important to building the Falcon program back to where it has historically been. It’s those guys who come up big for the team about whom opponent scouting reports don’t know much who are in a position to make all the difference, many times, on Friday nights.
Perry is among the more popular members of the Fort Campbell football program. Perry is also a stalwart in more than just football for the Falcons varsity units.
We talked to head football coach, Henry Mitchell, about his young big. He told KPGFootball, “Perry is a kid who has many attributes coaches at the next level covet. He needs some growth, particularly physically, but should that occur; the sky is the limit.”
Fort Campbell’s football program is headed in an upward trajectory, in the direction the Falcon faithful both expect and want to see. Mitchell’s staff is doing much with little, roster wise, with an aim toward developing more depth and quality players in the near future.
Perry is the “poster child” for this development plan. The Falcons have the pieces sufficient to sneak up on higher rated opponents and send them home if overlooked or lightly regarded. The game plan, from this point forward, is to graduate from the being the hunted back to being the hunters.

There are certain undeniable “truths” in the game of football. Among those are when you have big time talent handling the ball in the offensive backfield, with big time talent upfront like Perry; you will always have a chance on Friday night. The Falcons are getting there.
Evidence the Falcons are making the necessary strides is even more apparent where the roster contains some of the athletes and pieces at the disposal of Coach Mitchell and his staff. Identifying a potential weapon like Jason Perry should certainly help get future Falcon squads prepared for the challenges ahead. That is why Jason Perry is our Lasaters Coffee & Tea, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee Player of the Week.

That being said we felt it was high time for people around Oak Grove, KY (Fort Campbell High) to take notice of this outstanding performer and outstanding young man. Hey Fort Campbell, as far as Jason Perry is concerned; it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee!
In an effort to help this prospect’s continued development, Jason Perry may go, this Friday (December 5, 2025), to any of our area locations and be served a free drink of his choice and free breakfast or other sandwich/food item.
