’27 ATH has all the skills to contribute virtually anywhere

Jason Hence is a member of one of the KHSAA’s better ’27 classes in the sport of football. Between Kade Goodin and he, there are plenty of guys on the Collins’ roster who figure to be recruitable stars over the next two seasons. Everyone talks about Kade Goodin and understandably. He has one of the more athletic skill sets across the commonwealth for a guy who hasn’t taken a single snap as a junior yet. However, don’t sleep on Jason Hence. Hence is a beef-stud DAWG. We love his frame and the many ways he found to contribute to the bottom line over the course of his sophomore year playing for a 4A team normally in the discussion. We have seen Hence listed at WR/DB/and ATH. Frankly, with his size, length, and athleticism, Hence can play virtually anywhere.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product.

Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator. These days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Friday Night Fletch

Shelbyville, KY: Martha Layne Collins are the Titans and they play quite a bit of football around there. Collins is a 4A team and sports one of ’27’s brightest football stars in Kade Goodin.

We have reported on Kade since his coming out of middle school and believe he will be in the “Mr. Football” race a couple years on down the road. Goodin isn’t the only Good’un on the Titans’ roster. Jason Hence is a fantastic prospect who has the frame, length, and numbers to back up his prowess.

Hence played a little back-up QB a year ago. Hence attempted 10-passes on the year and completed nine (9) of them.

We realize a sample set of 10-passing attempts is a limited number. However, Hence can’t control that. The important thing is his making the most of the provided opportunity.

If you want him to complete more than nine (9) passes in a season, give him more than 10-attempts. When called upon, he answered the call.

Hence made the most of the opportunities he was given

At WR, Hence’s work was a bit more prodigious. Hence caught 38-passes in ’24 for 475-yards and six (6) scores. Hence was third on the team in “scoring.”

Hence has the frame to warrant such excellent play. Hence is 6’2,” 180-pounds and has been working very hard this offseason to round into among his graduating class’s more prolific and recruited players.

I would be looking out for this kid to explode on Coach Jerry Lucas’s roster in 2025. Expect him to be deployed more on defense, which would make him a three-phase contributor going forward.

This should fit well with where recruiters see him next level. By the way, there will be a next level.
