@JadairionS from @BallardFball is the @1776Bank “Revolutionary Player of the Week.” @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player from Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky who was one of the leaders of the Bruins defense in 2020. His name is Jadairion Smith and he is considered among the very best the commonwealth has to offer at any position in the sport of football.

Smith is sure to come out storming in ’21 and the quarterbacks on Ballard’s schedule would be smart to pay attention and keep their heads on swivels. Smith holds 11 Division I, football offers presently and reports Cincinnati, Indiana, Boston College, and Louisville as the “final-four” favorites for his services.

Smith’s Louisville Ballard High School is not too far from the famous St. Matthews Square branch of Independence BankSt. Matthews Square is on 3901 Shelbyville Road in Louisville. Get on by and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, Independence Bank. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

Jadairion Smith had 20-tackles in ’20. That number seems pedestrian for a 3-star defensive end who is rated the 9th-best football player (247Sports.com) in Kentucky’s high school graduating class of 2022.

Here’s the thing though; he only got to play in 4-games over his junior season. No program was any more ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic than Ballard High School and the other public schools in Jefferson county.

In addition to Smith’s 20-tackles in ’20, Smith also had 9- TFLs and 6-QB sacks. As a sophomore, during a year that was not shortened due to COVID-19, he had 58-tackles, 10.5 TFLs, 8-QB sacks, 2-FFs, and a pick.

A 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect, Smith is molded perfectly for the 3-4 defensive scheme that many of the schools recruiting him prefer. Smith is rated the No. 41 weak-side defensive end nationally among ’22s to go along with his lofty in-Kentucky ranking.

Congratulations to Jadairion Smith, for his Revolutionary Play in 2020 and what we know lies ahead this coming Fall in ’21, with a full accoutrement of games on the slate. All of this has earned Smith this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, your friends at Independence Bank.
