Ballard certainly knows something about developing top-flight talent at DE. Remember Jadairion Smith? We sure do. Ballard is now 6-3 with Woodford County remaining and Mikel Clack is the new “Jadairion Smith.” Clack leads the commonwealth in sacks and has a long frame, albeit slight, but he can really move. Ballard is staring down the barrel of a 7-3 finish, and with the 7th-highest RPI in the class, the 6A, 5th district Bruins hope to host to host an opening game. Friday Night Fletch

Jadairion Smith is among the very elite recruits at his position nationally. He is also listed among the elite Kentucky ’22s which goes without saying.
