Jabin Wedding, Class of 2020, is this Week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance both has and continues to exceed the Cougars’ and McClean County, Kentucky community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2020, OL, Jabin Wedding, from McClean County, Kentucky.

Wedding attends McClean County High School. The closest Independence Bank branch to Wedding’s high school lies approximately 7.9 miles from Calhoun, traveling down KY-136E, in neighboring Livermore, Kentucky. Hey, Cougars, go see the many banking services our friends, who brought you this article, offer in your area. Revolutionary service is awaiting you, right there in McLean County, by simply traveling to our Liverpool, Kentucky branch on 614 Henton Street.

We are big fans of OL who toil, behind the scenes, so that others may reap the benefit. Jabin Wedding is such a player. Mainly positioned along the Cougars’ offensive front, Wedding played in all 12 of McLean County’s games in 2018 and looks to do the same in 2019.

What Wedding contributes to the team, in clearing the way for the skill position players to thrive, goes largely unnoticed by all but the most knowledgeable of fans. That aside, it does have a lot to do with McLean’s posting an 8-4 mark in 2018 for Coach Wagner and his staff.

Jabin, wearing number “69” in the above photograph, will have to plod along, opening running lanes in 2019, without his older brother, Zareck (No. 74), around to help with the heavy-lifting. Zareck exhausted his eligibility, in 2018, graduating this Spring.

That aside, it has to be comforting to the Cougars they haven’t run plumb out of “Weddings.” Jabin will be on hand to insure defensive-linemen hear a goodly amount of bells inside their heads, and they sure won’t be “wedding-bells,” if you are picking up on what we are attempting to drop.

Congratulations to Jabin Wedding for his Revolutionary Play which has earned this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.

This is F.W. Long reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!

We don’t know how the Henderson County Colonels will replace players like this week’s recipient, Meric-Dean Stinson. It is not everyday a team is fortunate enough to have a guy with Stinson’s heart and fight in the line-up. Make no mistake, Stinson was as responsible for the Colonels’s turn-around in 2018 as any other player on the team. No one works harder than Meric-Dean Stinson and efforts like his are worthy of recognition and celebration. That is exactly why he is being recognized this week by Kentucky’s fastest growing (and hardest working) financial institution, Independence Bank. Join us next week as we award this to another worthy football player.
