Aden Bolden is a prime example why there is some superior coaching going on in Calhoun, Kentucky. Bolden is a ’26 kid who is plenty athletic and outstandingly versatile and productive. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to get by your local Independence Bank and discover why and how our people, financial products, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry. Friday Night Fletch.

We last wrote about this particular dual-threat, multi-phase, multi-sport star in June of 2023. In fact he was our Independence Bank Revolutionary Player that week. It isn’t every day someone wins this twice. Anyway, he had the senior season we forecast. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to celebrate with us the services, people, and financial products which have caused a revolution in Kentucky’s banking industry. Friday Night Fletch

Butler County may not be quite there yet; but the roster talent has them firmly in the Hunt! @brodyhunt_ @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @OCathFootball @MaxPreps @HLpreps @kyhighs @1776Bank @Coach_Owens12

Brody Hunt has his Bears right in the thick of things these days in the always tough 2nd District. Hancock, McLean, and Todd County Central are all playing lights out and Owensboro Catholic has settled into its accustomed role of 2nd District “Bully.” The team which has commonly been the “odd man out” is now playing lights out. Do the Bears have to beat the Rebels from. Todd County to get in the playoffs this year? Is the win over a 7-1 McLean team destined to turn one of McLean’s best teams in recent memories into playoff spectators? Enjoy this feature. HB.

We have featured quite a few McLean County Cougars through the years. There is a reason for this…they are A’s second-district. The Cougars had an uncharacteristic 4-6 year in ’21 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a while. Guys like this week’s feature will insure that will not turn into a trend. Enjoy this look at one of the area’s top two-way players and get on by our Livermore branch and discover why our people, products, and services have started a revolution in the financial service’s sector clear across the Bluegrass. HB.

This week’s recipient, Zach Clayton, and his cohorts at McLean County High School had a bad night against Owensboro Catholic. Lots of Western Kentucky, Class 2A football teams can make the same claim. However, this Clayton guy has been playing really well all season as have a few of his teammates. Enjoy this look at another player who provides excellent value to the team’s bottom line. Sort of sounds like Independence Bank now doesn’t it? HB.

Our only regret…we are out of opportunities to award @AndrewMunster from McLean County the @1776Bank “Revolutionary Player of the Week” more than this last time. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is Andrew Munster who saw his career end in the first round but who has been a four-time recipient of this award. Munster is out of eligibility (high-school wise) which we believe to be cause for mourning around McLean County. Go on by and see our friends at your local Independence Bank and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry. Enjoy the article. HB.

This week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week is a senior LB/FB from Hancock County who is having a great year and leading his team to previously unknown heights. His name is Luke Garrison and he has helped lead Hancock County to a 5-0 start, a birth, this week, in the AP top-ten poll, and even a number one vote from one of the AP’s media members. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry. Enjoy the article. HB.

Here’s one for our friends in Owensboro, Kentucky where Independence Bank has 3-branches presently. QB, Lincoln Clancy had huge shoes to fill when he inherited the job from 2019 graduate, Drew Hartz. So far the returns are very favorable. Most importantly, he has led the “Aces” to three wins against zero defeats. Catholic (2A) still has to play Owensboro “Senior” (5A), Apollo (6A), and Daviess County (6A) before everything is “said and done.” For now, Clancy is rolling and so is the team he has been entrusted to lead. Congratulations on being the “Revolutionary Player of the Week” and join us, this time next week, as we distinguish another worthy recipient. HB.

On the eve of opening the season, we decided to go back and award a former recipient of this same award. Andrew Munster was first awarded the Revolutionary Player of the Week by Independence Bank on January 26, 2019. With his recent selection to the “Herald-Leader Hundred” we thought now would be a good time to give the distinction to him a second time. Join us next week as we award this to another worthy recipient. HB.

Zach Wagner runs one of the very high achieving football programs in Kentucky’s Class 2A, particularly on the western end of Kentucky. The Cougars run the Wing-T with a precision which makes its gaining ground on opponents a “given.” The turn-around this year, from 0-3 to the Regional Championship game, was particularly masterful. Read this piece about one of the reasons for the improved play as the season progressed. HB.
