Is the 2019 Caudill Middle School varsity football team (@BMCMS on Twitter) the best middle school football team in Kentucky’s history?

We were the only state-wide coverage of Kentucky Middle School football in Kentucky history when we began the trek we now know as KPGFootball. We have been the exclusive coverage of Team Kentucky Future Stars football and have covered the FBU program too. We are the only state-wide outlet to cover the KYMSFA (Kentucky Middle School Football Association) who many of you reading this would have had no idea even what the acronym, “KYMSFA,” stood for had we not parenthetically provided it (don’t try to deny this).

When we say either this team or that may be the best middle school football team Kentucky has ever seen…well, people around Kentucky have to credit our opinion. Who would be in a better position, maybe outside the KYMSFA itself, to render such an opinion than we? No one…

First of all, Caudill has just polished off back-to-back KYMSFA titles. They have completed 4 straight undefeated regular seasons, 4 straight conference championships, have won 4 straight conference tourneys, 3 straight regional championships, 3 straight final four appearances, 3 straight championship games, together with the 2-straight championships. Man, that is a mouthful. Over that span of time, Caudill has gone 58-1 with its only loss being to Corbin three year ago in the 7th-grade state championships game which was avenged by Caudill the very next year.

Caudill also boasts two of the KYMSFA’s best players. Brady Hensley has compiled 7,234 yards of offense over his middle school career with a reported 153 TDs scored and Kenyatta Hardge has gained 7,311 yards in his career and tossed in 151 TDs of his own. Imagine if those two hadn’t been forced to sit many of the second halves of ballgames over their middle school careers?

Ryland Rhodes is one of the best two-way linemen in Kentucky. Hayden Kiser has been a beast at both DE and TE, and Anderson Mitchell is a lock-down corner, at 6 ft. tall, who possesses incredible athleticism.

So this begs the question…best ever to play in Kentucky’s Middle School Division? It’s a fair question. The answer may well be “yes.”
