Frankfort’s John Griffin from Franklin County High is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer- @johnathangr1ff @1776Bank @evans02_mike @PrepSpin @sfitz_whas840 @840WHAS

Franklin County has been knocking on the door of a championship for the last several years. They sit at 13-0 and get to host the semis, which is always considered a huge advantage. Of course, they are hosting the Boyle County Rebels. Uh…that’s not a very good draw. Griffin will have to be at his best, as will the rest of his compatriots. Enjoy this feature and pop some of Kentucky’s finest jerky products in your mouth and savor the flavor! #SavorTheFlavor! Friday Night Fletch.

Isac Earl is a guy who got plenty of run his freshman year, especially for a freshman at QB. This year he took another step toward the player he ultimately will be. This kid is a pretty polished play-maker and is growing into quite the dual threat QB. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch

Anyone hoping to get past Bracken County and the Polar Bears would do well to avoid the Tarter Sauce- @TarterDaulton @brackencounty @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @evans02_Mike @840WHAS @sfitz_840whas

We love to come up with something clever in the title. Daulton Tarter’s name lends itself to “Tartar Sauce” references easily and we decided to go with that. I wanted to make a “Steak Tartare” reference but Coach Lyon pointed out the spellings were significantly different. Coach Lyon really enrages me some days. Enjoy this feature. Friday Night Fletch

Gatorade’s slogan, or one of them at least is, “Is it in you?” That is a very appropriate question and one which bears on how this kid came to commit to EKU. Hensley’s father was a four year football letterman at EKU and both his parents graduated from EKU. Do you know what is in him other than a legacy to EKU? We think the Gatorade Kentucky High School Player of the Year. Give this man a Gatorade. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch

Middle School Spotlight: Bryson Johnson, the best MS football player in Kentucky, Period! End of dictation-@1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @minguabeefjerky @840WHAS @evans02_mike @sfitz_840whas @PerryCoCentral @WYMT

This is Bryson Johnson and he is the best football player in 8th-grade anywhere in Kentucky. He forecasts as a LB, most likely, in high school but could find a home in the offensive backfield. His being omitted from ANY middle school all-star, all-state team is a gross omission. Friday Night Fletch.

I coached a player at Hoptown Middle School who went on to be a star in HS and signed with Campbellsville. Jevon Leavell was that guy and a coach I had on staff looked at me, one time, and said, “Coach Long, I am going to give you some advice today which stands to really help us…find ways to get the ball in Mr. Leavell’s hands.” Leavell went on to break Hoptown’s 100-meter dash record in track. Artose Pinner and Curtis Pulley both ran track for the Tigers. Leavell and Wheels Turner have lots in common. Enjoy the feature. FL.

’24 athlete thriving in new position We use the term “athlete” in recruiting to highlight players who have a skill set which lends them to positions they may not even play in high school. Jack Lambert, former Steeler and HOF, NFL linebacker, was a QB in high school, or so […]

Clay Hayden is one of Kentucky’s top QB’s and he is only a junior (’25). This may sound like a recording, but it isn’t, it is original material. It seems we are always bragging about the quality of Beechwood’s roster and individual stars. There is a reason for that. The 17-time, Kentucky football champions are ALWAY GOOD! Enjoy this feature and join us again next week when we recognize another outstanding athlete. Till then, pop some of Kentucky’s finest jerky products in your mouth and savor the flavor! #SavorTheFlavor! FL

Evan Pitzer believes slow and steady wins the race…and it appears to be doing just that! @pitz_evan @CovCathColonels @CovCathFBAlumni @CovCathFootball @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @minguabeefjerky @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @840WHAS @sfitz_840whas

Evan Pitzer has one of the better frames of any QB competing in the KHSAA. He also has his Colonels off to a fast start with wins, out of the gate, against Ryle and hated rival Ft. Thomas Highlands. Pitzer has been the very model of efficiency. Matter of fact, he has been borderline spectacular. Enjoy the feature. FL.

Kam Brown, from Marshall County, proving there are stars on every horizon across the Bluegrass- @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @HopkinsCentral @CentreFootball @evans02_mike @KyHighFootball @sfitz_840whas @CoachE_MCHS

One thing we have learned through the years, there are fantastic football players on every single roster regardless of the team’s success or lack. Kam Brown is an excellent example of this. You won’t find too many better athletes playing TE in the ’26 class around the commonwealth. You won’t find too many TE’s (in any class) framed out any better than he. This is one to watch going forward visa vie prospects from around the Bluegrass. He’s off to a fine start. Read it here! FL
