’26 QB/OLB/P is becoming one of the more highly touted athletes in his class

Cade Scott is a 6’5,” 200-pounder who can play QB, LB, and can punt. He also plays varsity basketball but that shouldn’t surprise anyone. Scott had a solid sophomore year, throwing for over a thousand yards and 11-TDs while leading the team in yards gained from scrimmage and finding the end-zone, rushing, five (5) times. Can Meade County keep from the second half fade it experienced a year ago and look more like the Green Wave those of us who grew up around here remember? Yessir!

Scott X-Account

Brandenburg, KY: Meade County came out the gate red hot last season. They won five of the first six; beat E-Town (always tough 3A), Apollo, Central Hardin, Daviess County, and Bardstown (4A contender); before turning a one point loss to PRP (Lou. 6A) into a second half collapse.

The Green Wave will be looking to shore up that shortfall. When they take the field, they will be guided by a QB who has the build and some very valuable game experience under his belt.

Cade Scott is a ’26 QB who can play LB and punt. Scott is a basketball player as his 6’5,” 200-pound frame might well suggest.

Scott threw for over a thousand yards in ’23, led the team in rushing from scrimmage, contributed five (5) rushing TDs, and was among the team’s leading scorers in spite of his 11 TDs passing being credited to the receivers.

Scott has lots of tools which recommend him for the next level

Friday Night Fletch

Scott has lots of “tools” which recommend him for the next level. Scott has been training with one of the elite training outfits for QB’s in the Tuckasee area (Kentucky and Tennessee). Scott runs the 40-yard dash in a registered 4.67-seconds, has the vertical explosion to pull off the above linked back flip, and carries a 4.14-GPA.

This is a kid who fans should be monitoring closely this upcoming season. Meade County has a winning tradition, is excellently coached, and is accustomed to stockpiling top-flight talent. Meade County will be a big mover up the 6A ladder this coming season.

That’s our take, anyway. Then again, what do we know?
