’26 RB proving football is played all over Lexington
BJ Evans, Jr., whose given name is “Bryan,” is proof football is played all over Lexington, not just at Catholic, Christian, Bryan Station, and Frederick Douglass. Evans had a tremendous junior season and made our Big Ass Fans, Large School, All-State Offense at RB. We have said many times, you play it out and we will find it out. Evans is poised for a huge senior year. Matter of fact, don’t be surprised to hear his name linked to the chase for KHSAA “Mr. Football.”

Big Ass Fans from Lexington, Kentucky has a simple corporate goal. The company is “creating a more comfortable world,” one fan at a time.
The logo is the rear of a donkey (Fanny) swishing its tail back and forth. The trademarked logo is among Kentucky’s more celebrated and well known corporate identities across the commonwealth and has come to represent commitment to quality, cutting-edge innovation, and product reliability.
Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator…and, these days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Lexington, KY: Bryan “BJ” Evans, Jr. had quite a year in 2024. Evans logged 194-carries for 1,799-yards with 20-TDs while posting 9.3-yards a carry.

The name of the game is “scoring points.” Without scoring points, winning is impossible.
Evans score 134-points for his 6-4, 6A District 7 ball club over the course of his junior season. That comes out to 13.4-points per contest. In addition to his 20-rushing TDs, he tallied seven two-points on special teams.
You don’t see a ton of 6A football players who are two-phase contributors. Six A is “big boy ball.” We platoon at that level.

There are those across Kentucky who believe all the football in Lexington is played at (basically) four high schools. These four teams are worth the brag.
You have Lexington Christian Academy yearly challenging for the title at 2A. You have 3A’s Lexington Catholic, who one can never count out of the race regardless of what the regular season tally turns out to be.
Catholic proved this a year ago when it dropped its opening six (6) ball games only to win seven of its last eight. Not a ton of 4-6 regular seasons end the year in the semis.
Both Bryan Station and Frederick Douglass make deep runs, perennially, in the playoffs at the 6A level. Douglass was in the semis last season with Bryan Station playing for the title on Kroger Field in ’23, losing to Trinity (Lou.).

However, Evans has been playing quite a bit of football since coming over from the Christian Academy via transfer. Evans is 5’10,” weighs 200-pounds, and is the prototype of a big-time running back.

Evans will field quite a few offers this coming summer in the run-up to his senior campaign. How many and at what level is anyone’s guess.
For our money, this guy feels like an FBS mid-major to Power Four guy. Then again, what do we know?

BJ is the future of the K.B.G. king’s building greatness he shows it on and off the field a standout athlete with a heart of gold and he knows the grind it takes to achieve the greatness ahead for him and his teammates. Therefore putting the work in the classrooms to show the youth both is very important.
