This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is a top-flight, 2023 QB/FS prospect who really showed out this week on the defensive side of the football at his free safety deployment. Howard plays for Greenwood High School. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding services and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry.

For those caught up on classification, @PikevilleHSFB (1A) travels to Lexington to play @HCHSDevilsFB (6A) Friday night. We pick the winner right here… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

We have been telling you for years the enrollment of the high school has very little to do with how good of a football team it has in Kentucky. Well, tomorrow night, we suppose Pikeville High School (1A) will make the point for us when they travel to play Lexington’s Henry Clay High School (6A). This game won’t be close and it won’t be the team from Kentucky’s smallest classification feeling the effect of Friday night on Saturday morning. Enjoy the look brought to you like only KPGFootball can do it. HB.

@DarionDearinger from @AndersonCoFB is the @Minguabeefjerky ‘Protein-packed Performer of the Week.’ @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

Talk about your protein-packed performers, this 6-4, 285-pound TE/DE for Anderson County is roundly considered the best player at his defensive position in Kentucky High School Football. He had an incredible performance against Harrison County, albeit in a losing effort. Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient.

@RooDaKid25 (Anthony “Rooster” Woodard) stuffed the stat sheet on both sides for @LC_Cougars this past Friday night.

September 22, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

We first wrote about this prospect in an article entitled “Russellville Rolls when the Rooster Crows.” Yeah, we were really proud of the title. We thought it enormously clever. That article was published April 15, 2017. Here it is, 2020, coming up on 2021, and we are still writing about this same player; and yes, we are still calling him “Rooster Woodard.” He has rounded into the type prospect we believed he would be all along. Right again! Enjoy this article about a prospect we have been on for quite a while. HB.

Here is how the Associated Press’s top 10 teams in each classification fared this past weekend. We provide this free as a public service and in connection with our being subscribed media members to this poll. The new poll will be out later today.

Here’s how we voted in this week’s Associated Press weekly top-10 polls for each classification and why… @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin

We take voting in the AP poll very seriously. We are proud to be a subscribed member of the foremost press agency in the land and feel our votes should be cast thoughtfully and only after having done the work. This is how we cast our vote for the poll which will be released the 14th of September. We also included some reasons for why certain teams were voted where they were. Enjoy the article and thanks for your support.

Outstanding individual performances this past weekend (09-18-2020) from around @KyHighFootball. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin

Well we have some more of the world’s finest beef jerky to award this coming Wednesday in the weekly “Protein-packed Performer of the Week” and there were some strong performances around the commonwealth from which to choose. These guys listed in this article are all contenders this week and this article will fully illuminate why that is. Enjoy the article. Join us Wednesday when we reveal this week’s recipient. HB Lyon.

@harold_hogg (Harold Patterson II) from @AHSEagleNation (Owensboro Apollo) is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

September 18, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Harold Patterson’s Eagles really struggled in the opener against the Red Devils from Owensboro High School. Not many teams invade Red Devil Stadium and come away looking too good. The Eagles really need to rebound tonight when Meade County’s “Green Wave” come crashing into Apollo’s shore looking for high tide. Coach Edge’s Eagles will need another performance like Patterson turned in against Owensboro (Senior) High to have a chance to emerge victorious. Enjoy this article brought to you by your friends with the service and people who have revolutionized the banking industry in Kentucky: Independence Bank. Join us again next week as we highlight another terrific player.
