If his production should increase proportionately to how it increased from ’19 to ’20, our pick of “The Blue Tornado” at number two in the preseason Class 3A football poll is looking better all the time. Trinity has before complained we don’t cover them sufficiently. We would beg to differ as we have feature quite a few of its primetime players through the years but we probably don’t write about Kentucky’s most talented roster as much as we could. Of course, we can’t just perpetually feature one team, unless their hiring. Anyway, this kid here will play big-time, college football because of his speed, regardless of what he does or doesn’t do on the football field. Good thing he is good on the football field too. We have been projecting the top-5 team, preseason, in each of Kentucky’s six-classifications. We have been bold in some of our predictions, picking some wild cards we aren’t sure everyone would pick. Here is how we see Class 5A fleshing out. If we didn’t pick your team and you see a district opponent listed among our top-5, that means we don’t think you see round three. We have made it no secret we enjoy publicizing the players who rarely get any publicity, the offensive linemen across Kentucky. Well, if I were putting together a line of scrimmage from all of the linemen across the commonwealth of Kentucky to play a football game, the Big Nashty would be prominently discussed as a starter on this line. Congratulations to him on winning this week’s award and join us next week as we award this to another outstanding player from across Kentucky. HB.

Sometimes predicting stardom in the future for some athletes is just too easy. Such was the case for Rylan George. George is a ’24 prospect about whom everyone will know in very short order. One day, we will look back on this article and wonder how in the world we were the first to predict this. We believe this may be a “Power 5” guy going forward. HB.
Here is a superstar who has already found the top of the leader board in numerous statistical categories for Louisville St. Xavier’s defensive unit in ’20 while only a sophomore. Guess what, he played as a freshman too, something which “never happens” to hear people talk. This kid here will be a household word across Kentucky before the coming season has expired. This is another kid who decided to reclassify under SB-128. Like QB, Cameron Hergott, before him; it appears to us this decision may just pay off big time for the ’22 QB. Brady Clark has all the intangibles and tangibles colleges crave for his position. Now he has him a sweet T-shirt and a box of the best jerky product on the market headed his direction.
