’25 RB killing it for the Dixie Heights Colonels
Dixie Heights has certainly had better years. However, the Colonels are 3-5, have played well his year, and only lost to Connor (6-3) by four (35-31) points. Armani Gregg really showcased his ability this past weekend. Gregg rushed for 161-yards and a pair of scores, led his team in scoring, and appears to have his ball club readying for a tough close.

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.
Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Armani Gregg, ’25 RB from Dixie Heights High in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Dixie Heights is a tough customer regardless of what the record may be. The Colonels are only 3-5 on the year but only lost to Connor by four (35-31) and sure beat the tar-stuffings out of Scott this past weekend, 48-14.
Armani Gregg had an incredible game for his Colonels. Gregg rushed it only six (6) times for 161-yards and a pair of TDs. That is averaging 26.8 or more yards every carry and scoring a TD every third rushing attempt.
Gregg led his team in scoring against Scott. The Colonels better brace as they have much tougher competition upcoming than Coach Franklin’s Eagles. Check out this close, home against Cooper (9-0), then to Union, Kentucky to play the Ryle Raiders (6A, 6-2).
Consulting our Durden Ratings Index (DRI), Cooper is the 15th best team among Kentucky’s 222- football teams, all classifications. Get this, Ryle is ranked 8th, all-classes, in the same index.
How do we see these games going? We would rather not say. Let’s just leave it that the Colonels will be decided underdogs to both Cooper and Ryle. However, if this season has taught us nothing else, it has taught us any team can beat the other on any given night.
Any team, in any given matchup, may well come away victorious

As for the performance of Gregg to this point in the season? Let’s just call it super special.
Gregg, at 6’1,” 215-pounds, has been a tour de force for his ball club. In eight games, Gregg has gained 1,045-yards on 121-carries with 15-rushing TDs. Gregg has scored 100-points on the year, so far, to pace his ball club; and, has scored both offensively (15-rushing TDs) and on special teams (five two-pointers).
He’s getting it done. He’s doing it in multiple phases. That’s value, getting all of that at the 5A level out of one player.
Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Dixie Heights High’s Armani Gregg.
This is Friday Night Fletch reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron and reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE. Don’t forget to SAVOR THE FLAVOR!
