We have a real treat for the readers today as we highlight a player we covered extensively when he was a KYMSFA superstar. Brady Hensley was part of a backfield we christened “Thunder and Lightening” when he teamed up with Kenyatta Hardge back at Caudill Middle. Well, today we give you “Lightening” who struck this past Friday night and demonstrated what about his game was so celebrated in years past and figures to be celebrated many more times in the future. Enjoy this look at Brady “Lightening” Hensley and join us next week as we award this to another worthy recipient. HB.
We had another big week and so did these guys we have featured in this weekly series. This week we feature 31-current stars among the performances “singled out.” We believe one of these guys is very likely to win the Mingua Beef Jerky Award this Wednesday. We know this…there isn’t a bad choice in this entire article. Enjoy this look at some of the very fine performances we saw this past Friday night. HB.
This is Deacon Jones and he is young for his enrollment and just turned 13 this past February. Regardless his board elected not to allow reclassification so he is stuck as a ’26 prospect. No matter, he is still among the very elite such prospects in all of Kentucky. Enjoy the feature. HB.
We featured and awarded this award to the Sokolowski brothers a few weeks ago but mentioned this particular player in that article. Well Olive’s play has continued to be stellar. This week, this award is all his. Congratulations to Kanoa Olive from Murray High and join us next week as we give this to another worthy recipient.
Talk about your weapons, Webster County has a kid named Sylas with quite a Gunn on him. Sylas Gunn is one of the more versatile and talented football players in the western end of the commonwealth. Enjoy this feature about a ’26 prospect from whom you will be hearing plenty going forward. HB.
We aren’t going to lie to you. We prefer not to give this award to QBs all the time and we are really hesitant to award it to “past winners.” We strive to spread it around as there are so many weekly worthy players. However, sometimes a former winner, and even a QB, render a performance impossible to ignore. This week, Cameron Hergott, who has put up ridiculous numbers all season, had another performance we just couldn’t ignore. So, the EKU commit wins it again. At the end of this year the Mr. Football award is very likely to follow our lead. Enjoy the article. HB.
His name is Montavin Quisenberry and around KPGFootball he is just called “Q.” We believe he may be the best freshman football player in all of Kentucky particularly among the skills. This is a fine freshman class too as many are making incredible contributions to the ball club right now. Enjoy this look at the pride of Garrard County. HB.
We had another big week and so did these guys we have featured in this weekly series. This week we feature 27-current stars, one coach, and two teams among the performances “singled out.” We believe one of these guys is very likely to win the Mingua Beef Jerky Award this Wednesday. We know this…there isn’t a bad choice in this entire article. Enjoy this look at some of the very fine performances we saw this past Friday night. HB.
For the fourth week in a row, KPGFootball has gone 11-1. On the year we are 44-4. Here is our report card from last night. Enjoy the feature. HB.
