Clancy is a guy tailor-made for this particular award. He is gritty, tough, and a winner. Sounds like a bank we know. Anyway, Owensboro Catholic played a gauntlet of an opening five (5) games but they seem to have righted the ship just in time for the games which really matter. We believe they will slide into the playoffs hotter than blue-blazes. Players like Clancy number among the reasons why. HB.

Isaiah Fitzpatrick is among the best RBs in Kentucky ’22 class. There are high school programs in Kentucky where he would be a D-1 guy. We still think he is a D-1 guy and some team below D-1 is going to wind up with a All-conference/All-American type at its level of play. Lucky them. Enjoy the feature. HB.

We had another big week and so did these guys we have featured in this weekly series. This week we feature 24-current stars, one former star now in college, and a coach among the performances “singled out.” We believe one of these guys is very likely to win the Mingua Beef Jerky Award this Wednesday. We don’t always award this to two players at once and we know the brothers Sokolowski are probably tired of being lumped together all the time but, c’mon, did you see the performance the two of them put up against 5A Christian County? Just ridiculous and both of the performances were so outstanding it would have been impossible to award this to one over the other. So, we awarded it to both. Join us again next week as we tee this up and award this prestigious honor to another player or players as the case may be. HB.
