The Hornets’ performance has really shocked some people around the Western Kentucky football world. Independence Bank has been quick to notice the outstanding play from Hancock County High School and the Hawesville, Kentucky brand of Independence Bank located at 225 US 60E has been wearing us out around the magazine about when we were going to feature some of the area outstanding football talent. Okay guys, we hear you! Jack Duncan maybe one of the best defensive players at his level in his area of the commonwealth. He, for darn sure, may be among the more underrated. This kid has played very well for his Hornet’s team all year. Enjoy this feature and congratulations to Mr. Duncan on winning this very prestigious distinction. HB.

Class of ’24, Hunter Monroe from @OCathFootball is this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s Revolutionary Player is a prime example of the level of production some programs are getting from first-year players. By first-year players we are referencing freshmen and not players who have been seasoned on the JV field. It truly is remarkable what guys like this week’s recipient have been able to accomplish. Should be fun watching this guy continue to develop and compete. Enjoy the feature and join us next week as we reward another worthy player. HB.

Our only regret…we are out of opportunities to award @AndrewMunster from McLean County the @1776Bank “Revolutionary Player of the Week” more than this last time. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is Andrew Munster who saw his career end in the first round but who has been a four-time recipient of this award. Munster is out of eligibility (high-school wise) which we believe to be cause for mourning around McLean County. Go on by and see our friends at your local Independence Bank and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry. @AGLOADING26 from @SrHighFootball is the @Minguabeefjerk “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” @PrepSpin, @KyHighFootball

October 14, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Talk about your protein-packed performers, this 6-1, 215-pound MLB for Owensboro (Senior) High School (5A) had one of those nights where he was called upon to contribute on multiple sides of the scrimmage line. He came away with a big-time performance and productive regardless of what he was called upon to do. In a tight contest like last Friday with Owensboro Catholic, where every score was important, his contributions were instrumental to victory. We think AG (as we call him around the magazine) is the definitive player at his defensive position in Kentucky high school football. Can’t flatter a guy much more than that! Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

@lincoln_clancy from @OCathFootball is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week! @miguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

Here’s one for our friends in Owensboro, Kentucky where Independence Bank has 3-branches presently. QB, Lincoln Clancy had huge shoes to fill when he inherited the job from 2019 graduate, Drew Hartz. So far the returns are very favorable. Most importantly, he has led the “Aces” to three wins against zero defeats. Catholic (2A) still has to play Owensboro “Senior” (5A), Apollo (6A), and Daviess County (6A) before everything is “said and done.” For now, Clancy is rolling and so is the team he has been entrusted to lead. Congratulations on being the “Revolutionary Player of the Week” and join us, this time next week, as we distinguish another worthy recipient. HB.
