Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded expectations in the huge and pivotal District championship the Aces just won over Hancock County, the District’s top-seeded team. Today we honor Braden Mundy from Owensboro’s Catholic High School.

Mundy’s Owensboro Catholic High School is located right down the road from 3 Independence Bank branches on 2425 Frederica Street, 2465 W. Parrish Avenue, and 3228 KY-54, respectively. Get on by and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, Independence Bank. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

Braden Mundy (2022) had a huge game for Owensboro Catholic as it upset its district’s top seed, Hancock County, 27-26. Mundy completed 7 of his 12 passing attempts for 86-yards and a TD. However, it was with his feet he did the most damage. Mundy carried the ball 16-times for 228-yards with 2-rushing TDs. Did we mention his interception? Well he had one of those too.

For the year, the junior has 84-carries for 727-yards with 9-rushing TDs good for second on the team in that statistical category. He has 31-receptions for 437-receiving yards with 8-TD receptions and 2 interceptions, on defense, to lead the team in that particular pair of statistical categories.

Congratulations to Braden Mundy, both for his Revolutionary Play in the 2nd District championship round and that which is to come in tonight’s Regional championship against Murray High School. All of it taken together, in toto, has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, your friends at Independence Bank.
