We have had a few, two-time Revolutionary Players of the Week. Jak may well be our first three-timer. Lindsey is a mountain of a man who made our All-State football team and is headed to Souther Illinois for a little Division 1, FCS, football. Jackson Edens, from Webster County High, is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week @minguabeefjerky @840WHAS @WebCoFootball

I don’t know whether or not you have noticed but the football fortunes of the Webster County program are on the decided “up.” Jackson Edens played a huge part in those reversal of fortunes this past Fall and figures to be prominent again in ’24. We last wrote about this particular dual-threat, multi-phase, multi-sport star in June of 2023. In fact he was our Independence Bank Revolutionary Player that week. It isn’t every day someone wins this twice. Anyway, he had the senior season we forecast. Evan Hampton from Owensboro (Senior) High is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week- @minguabeefjerky @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS @SrHighFootball @Evanhampton34 @Ukbaseball

Evan Hampton may be the top baseball prospect in Kentucky’s ’26 graduating class. How good is he? Well, he’s already committed to play for UK and that is one of the better programs in the SEC; which is, in turn, the elite conference in NCAA baseball throughout the country. Hampton isn’t just good at baseball. The sophomore RB made the 840WHAS & KPGFootball Big-School All-Sate Football team. William Carrico, ’24 WR/DB from Owensboro Catholic High, is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week- @minguabeefjerky @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS @CarricoTutt

William Carrico plays on a team with plenty of star power at Owensboro Catholic. Between his brother, Vince, and Brady Atwell, a guy who may be the best QB in the commonwealth and on his way to a “Mr. Football” award, it can get lost in shuffle, sometimes, just what kind of sensational year William Carrico has given his fans, coaches, and team. We at Independence Bank and KPGFootball have noticed. So will you as soon as you read this article. Russ Crowe from Daviess County High is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week- @DCHS_Football @minguabeefjerky @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS

Russ Crowe helped his Daviess County ball club get to tonight’s second round match-up with Central Hardin in Edgewood, Kentucky. I am not sure how many of you realize what an uphill battle Daviess County had to fight to just get to this game. That North Hardin club had to forfeit some games for the use of an ineligible player this year. Many of the games North was required to forfeit were games North had won handily. Yzir Gray from Warren Central is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week- @godmadeyzir @minguabeefjerky @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS @WCAthleticDept

It is playoff time around Kentucky and every team enters the playoffs with the same 0-0 record shooting for 5-0. Warrant Central starts its journey tonight when it travels to Henderson County. Let’s see if Yzir Gray can help the Dragons get off on the right foot. Coby Dant from McLean County High in Calhoun, Kentucky is the @1776Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week- @minguabeefjerky @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS @McLeanSportsNet @MCHSCoach

Coby Dant is a perfect example of the type player Independence Bank seeks to publicize. He is an under the radar guy who eschews glory or fame in order to go out, night in and night out, and just do the job. Jack James from Tilghman High in Paducah is the @1776Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week- @_jackjames9 @pths_football @minguabeefjerky @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas @840WHAS

Jack James is one of Kentucky’s very best at the QB position especially in the ’25 graduating class. He is already his schools all-time TD thrower and Hunter Cantwell played at PTHS. What James did last Friday night is the type production you’re lucky to get on a video game. Bryce Button from South Warren High is the @1776Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week- @ButtonBryce @SouthWarrenFB @SouthWarrenHigh @minguabeefjerky @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @_CoachManning @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @sfitz_840whas

Bryce Button, a ’25 QB at South Warren in Bowling Green, KY, over the first seven (7) games of this ’23 season has been the very picture of Swiss-made precision. Last week he completed close to 80% of his passing attempts and threw for four (4) TD’s against 0-picks. Regardless of college potential, and he has his fair share, this kid is a dynamite high school football player.
