Here is our best guess at the five best teams heading into the ’22 season in the 3A classification. We were right on the money a year ago picking Belfry to win and Paducah to make the final game. Man, did we look stupid at the mid-way point and genius at the end. Hopefully, we will once again demonstrate our superior knowledge and work ethic. Enjoy. HB.

Preseason look at Class 3A; here’s our top-5 heading into ’21. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @KyHighFootball

This should start a ton of crap. Class 3A was particularly hard to predict this preseason. First of all, there were so many teams from a year ago completely decimated by graduation. There may be even better players waiting in the wings to take the departing players’ place but that is something hard for us to know. We don’t pick teams in our top-5 who can’t make it out of the district round of the playoffs in our estimation. This bothered the Murray High fans when we released our 2A top-5 and they were excluded. It is simple, we don’t see them getting past Mayfield two years in a row. Anyhow, here is our take concerning the 3A classification. Enjoy the feature. Let the debate commence. HB.

It dawned on me some readers may be too young to remember and appreciate the reference. I certainly mean no offense; au contraire, I mean it as a high compliment. The […]

Well, we were the first publication in the history of Kentucky to undertake a middle school poll. We were the first publication in the history of Kentucky to fashion both freshman and sophomore All-State Football teams. So, why not be the first publication in the history of Kentucky to rank […]

My Brother’s Keeper…

April 30, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

We talk a lot about pedigree in football and it does amount to something as we see consanguine relatives both excel at football’s highest levels year after year. There are lots of examples of this and we discussed another example just yesterday when I featured a freakishly big and athletic […]
