How does any program replace a Mr. Football in the offensive backfield. Well, when that program is Belfry, they do it with a young talent who has shown he won’t shy from having to fill shoes that size. It must stink having to play Belfry all the time. When does the endless wave of superior football playing talent ever ebb? Seemingly never. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Let’s check in with @rudy_blackwell from @BelfryFootball1…

We thought we would check in on a kid which Belfry (lucky them) seems to grow on trees over there. Rudy Blackwell, Jr. made our Freshman All-State Football team in 2019 and considering how he played and the numbers he put up it really wasn’t a close call. Heading into his sophomore year, if he continues to develop physically, grow a little thicker to go with his growing taller, there is really no limit to how good he can be. Could he be another Grayson Cook? Hard to say, but one has to note the physical similarities. Enjoy the article. HB.

Bully-ball

We are going to say something here with which Isaac Dixon, who we know well, would readily agree. He doesn’t gain 228-yards rushing on 15 carries and walk away from Kroger Field with the Class 3A, State Championship Game MVP hardware without Ethan “Big E” Wolford and the rest of “Haywood’s Hogs.” In a game dominated by grown men able to move the unwilling from A to B despite the latter’s protestations, Belfry reinforces the adage one has to “run the damn football” to win games in November and December in the commonwealth of Kentucky. We are going to miss Big E.

Belfry’s Adkins adds Future Stars to a growing list of accomplishments

We were thrilled to hear yesterday from the Adkins family Jonah has been added to the Team Kentucky Future Stars-7th active roster for the June 15 show-down with Tennessee. Jonah, in an effort to keep himself physically ready, had been working all along in the event this opportunity should present. Yep, that is the Jonah Adkins we know. That is why he will thrive both in the game, June 15th, and thereafter. Enjoy this article about one of the hardest working and talented members of Kentucky’s 2024-class of football players.

Y’all ain’t moving Jacoby Thornsbury nowhere…

We love the offseason at KPGFootball. Judging by our “visits” statistic, so do many of you. We have more viewership in the offseason than in-season. We are willing to bet you readers (or advertisers) would have never guessed that! It is a time of rejuvenation, a time of hope, a […]

Ethan Wolford’s immense sacrifice…

July 30, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

I can tell you a lot about the player, Ethan Wolford, known throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky as Big E and just what contributes to his being great. I can tell you he has the ideal frame for a college center at 6-3, 285 pounds with quick, agile, and nimble feet. […]
