’26 Offensive Lineman is ‘Simply the Best’ at his position throughout KY at any level

Bo Wolford is the best player along Kentucky’s premier unit. He is 6’3.5,” weighing in at 285-pounds while running a 5.4-second 40-yard dash and shuttling in 4.9-seconds. Wolford bench presses 345, squats 525, and cleans 265. He didn’t allow a single sack the entire ’23 season (76-passing attempts) and has never made a “B” in any subject, at any level, he has ever studied. Quite frankly, he is remarkable. Quite frankly, he’s simply the best.

Anna Mae Bullock was born in Brownsville, Tennessee on November 26, 1939. She formed a singing duo with her husband and the two of them became among the more formidable live acts in history.

Her act with her husband disbanded, like the marriage, in 1976. In the 80’s, she launched one of the greatest musical comebacks in the history of the industry. She charted hit song after hit song and died among the most revered acts in pop-chart history on May 24, 2023.

She knew something of being the best. She was simply the best. She charted with a song of that same title on or about October 22, 1991. She would have been a big fan of Belfry High’s Bo Wolford.

Wolford is largely considered by football experts around the commonwealth the standard for offensive line play in the 2026 graduating class. He has made the FBU All-American team multiple times, has played multiple times for Team Kentucky and the Kentucky Future Stars, and started upfront for Coach Phillip Haywood’s Pirates as a freshman.

Bo Wolford is 6’3.5,” and weighs in at a svelte 285-pounds. Wolford clips off 40-yard dashes in 5.4-seconds, runs the short shuttle in 4.9-seconds, and didn’t allow a QB-sack the entire ’23 season.

Wolford benches 345, squats 525, power cleans 265 and has never made as much as a “B” in all the years he has attended school. Wolford would be his class’s valedictorian, if the ’26’s graduated today (unweighted).

We talked to Wolford about many of his playing experiences to date. He had a few things to say about his football experiences.

He told KPGFootball, “I am blessed and thankful for the opportunities football has afforded me. I am thankful for the lessons learned and the friends and memories made.”

The Belfry Pirates feel equally blessed. Linemen with the physical prowess of a Bo Wolford don’t come along every day. Linemen who can move like Wolford don’t come around every day. Linemen as cerebral as Wolford come around once a career if the coach is extremely lucky.

There are plenty of Division-1 programs sniffing around the sophomore phenom. EKU has had him in for a visit as has Marshall and the University of Tennessee. Wolford has a busy camp and combine schedule this Summer and the offers will be pouring in like rain.

How do we know this? For one, we were huge Anna Mae Bullock fans, in her day, though you probably wouldn’t know her by that name.

You would know her by her stage name: Tina Turner. She knew a thing or two about being the best. She would recognize it in Bo Wolford’s play.
