Well with the performances we are regularly seeing around Kentucky these days, it was bound to happen. We have a week we had to give out two awards. We got special permission to do it this one time so don’t be thinking this will become a “regular thing.” Matt Anderson is a top-flight sophomore RB whose performance Friday night was unbelievable. Anthony Johns is a hulking OL who also plays defense for a team which took down the defending state champion and top ranked team, Somerset, on this past Friday night. The game was in Somerset. We used to call him “Big Bear” when covering him for Team Kentucky while he was in Middle School. He asked us not to so reference him that way so we quit. Now that he has grown into a literal grizzly, he has given us the go ahead to call him that once more. We are thrilled. He is one of the digital magazine’s very favorite players. Read why. HB.
