KHSAA announces plan for @KyHighFootball in Fall, 2020
Yesterday, the KHSAA Board of Control announced its plan for the resumption of sports this Fall. We are listening intently at least as it involved football. Here is what we heard. HB.
@TerpsFootball has offered instate player, @XavierBrown22 from @LCA_Football. How long before they offer our top rated 2022, ‘athlete,’ @MorrisD1 (Tyler Morris)?
Well the Terrapins dipped into one of the wealthier rosters of talent in Kentucky to offer Xavier Brown from LCA. One has to wonder how much longer until someone gets to another ‘true prize’ on that roster in Tyler Morris? HB
Kentucky’s Elite High School football teams for 2020…
Want to know who’s going to rule the 6-classes of Kentucky High School football? Well, this is who CalPreps.com thinks will reign supreme. In italics, you will see what we think of it. Enjoy the article. HB.
How recruiting REALLY works…
Recruiting has become quite the animal, if we are being honest, particularly in football. It seems, more and more, like the ability to play the actual game means less all the time. College recruiters call on high school coaches less and less in evaluating talent for their incoming classes. Evaluation […]
Charvelle McCallister from @MurrayTigerFB is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week!
This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is a top-flight, 2021 RB playing for Murray High School. His name is Charvelle McAllister. He, very quietly and without much fanfare, rushed for over 1,100-yards in 2019 in only 12-games in 2019. Both Tommy Waldrup and Hunter Utley have moved on to playing on Saturdays, so he will be critically important to his team’s fortunes in 2020. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry.
The Inside Story on ’20 Fall Sports (Featured Photo: Brendon Miller, Bluegrass Sports Nation)
This appeared in the Jackson Times-Voice’s July 22nd edition. It’s author, the editor of that publication and on our editorial board, Mr. Fletcher Long, has permitted our republishing it to our exclusive forum of “insiders” for those of you unfortunate enough to not live in Jackson, Kentucky or subscribe to the Times-Voice (he made us say this). HB.
Bryce Hoskins, @bryce3034, one of @bchsbaby comes smoking out of @AppalachiaPrep red hot! @BreathittCoach
Here is a guy who has to be the top-rated guy in his class at his position. He may end up being the top rated 2023-player at any position before the matter is all said and done. Bryce Hoskins ladies and gentlemen, avoid the rush and right down the name now! HB.
@JaylinBross has been nominated for an honorary ESPN ‘Espy’ Award. @LMHSCoachWolfe and @MaleBulldogs couldn’t be any happier!
We first started calling him “The Boss” after watching him completely own the East/West Kentucky game in 2016. He was the “Offensive MVP” of the game and deservedly. Now he is one of Louisville’s leading returning rushers and nominated for an Espy. Enjoy the article. HB.
@Kpelfrey32 from Johnson Central is ready for some heavy lifting
Somehow Johnson Central keeps producing top-flight TE talent. Yet, they seemingly never throw the football. Funny how that works. Well, just when everyone has begun noticing how Zach Russell is the best TE in KY’s 2021-class, Keygan Pelfrey has begun to round into the best TE in the Class of 2022. There is no rest for the weary with this bunch for sure. Enjoy the article. HB.
@bridger_knee from @PurplesFootball is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week!
This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is a top-flight, 2022 DE playing for Bowling Green (Senior) High School. His name is Bridger Knee and, if his name sounds familiar it should, we have featured him several times. He will have a very big year in Class 5A, District 2, if he builds on what he did over his sophomore season. This feature is brought to you weekly by the folks over at Independence Bank. Go on by and see our friends and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry.
