’28 LB got eight games of run in ’24 and looking for a bigger role as a Sophomore

Levi Clemmons entered his freshman season with as much “ballyhoo” and “folderol” as any other freshman linebacker. The 6’0,” 215-pounder didn’t disappoint. Clemmons had a handful of tackles, half a tackle for a loss, and forced a fumble which isn’t bad at all for a freshman earning some run at the Kentucky 5A level of play. This kid has enjoyed one heck of an offseason and is ready to take off like a rocket tomorrow night in year two of this journey. These guys are at Great Crossing tomorrow night. Should be a blast.

HB Lyon, Scouting Director, “KPGFootball”

Berea, KY: Levi Clemmons is arguably the best linebacker in his graduating class (2028) in Kentucky. Football University (FBU) thought so, that is why he was selected to attend their “Top Gun” combine. Offense-Defense (O-D) thought so, that is why he was selected a Freshman All-American by their service.

Clemmons got Friday Night run in eight (8) games in ’24. Along the way he made some plays.

That isn’t shabby at all at the Kentucky 5A level playing for a team, in Madison Southern, which has made some noise in its past and bowed out of last year’s KHSAA playoffs in the second round against traditional powerhouse 5A program, Pulaski County.

Clemmons bench presses 325-pounds. Clemmons squats a cool 450.

Clemmons runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8-seconds. Clemmons clocks the pro-agility shuttle (5-10-5) in 4.6-seconds.

’28 LB, Levi Clemmons

All of these numbers range from “elite” to “very good.” Particularly for a player who is 6’0,” weighs 215-pounds, and is just now entering the 10th grade.

Clemmons best football is ahead of him. If you are a football fan, particularly a fan of star players, you better keep an eye on Berea, Kentucky. This Clemmons-guy is about to go straight off this coming season.

This will be a name you will need to know. Avoid the rush and learn to spell it right now. It isn’t too difficult.

Minner is well put together and that 4.2 GPA certainly speaks for itself

Friday Night Fletch

Madison Southern has a difficult road ahead. The Eagles get Great Crossing tomorrow night on the road and then have to travel to Lexington, Kentucky to play a Tates Creek squad which figures to be vastly improved over the team which finished 6-4 a year ago.

Along the way, the Eagles will have to face Madison Central, Henry Clay (Lexington), Mercer County, and Montgomery County, all of which are tests but which are, also, winnable games. We believe the Eagles are poised to make some waves this coming season. Having young talent like Clemmons on hand is a major reason why.

This Clemmons kid is a leader. This Clemmons kid is a stud football player with limitless potential depending on how hard he continues to work. If that isn’t worthy of an award like this, then what is?

That is a good question.
