’27 dual threat QB and ATH proving himself among the more potent offensive threats in KY

We are a long way from being among the only high school fans across Kentucky aware there is something very special developing in Shelbyville at Martha Layne Collins High. We have been talking about (and writing about) Kade Goodin for years, starting when he was still in middle school. Goodin is a ’27 prospect who is 6’3,” weighs 185-pounds, and has lead his team to a 5-4 record with Great Crossing left to go so far this season. Goodin had a “good ‘un” against South Oldham this past week and will need another “good ‘un” if the Titans are to overcome Great Crossing (6A, 6-3).

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator…and, these days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?

Shelbyville, KY: If you were to ask anyone for the top ’27s across the Bluegrass, and if they omitted Kade Goodin from Martha Layne Collins High, their list of top guys would be immediately suspect. There can’t be a serious list of top sophomores, across Kentucky, which fails to include Kade Goodin.

If you will pardon the pun, he’s a good ‘un! Sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves.

Goodin had quite a night this past weekend against South Oldham, a 7-3 5A, fifth-district team, same as Collins. Goodin completed 18 of his 32-passing attempts for 264-yards and three (3) TDs passing to go along with 83-yards rushing (led the team) and another three TDs on the ground.

Goodin led the team in scoring on the night with 18-points. Jerry Lucas’s Titans needed every point in the 42-41 triumph in Shelbyville.

Goodin has been doing it all year long for his squad. Goodin has thrown for 2,081-yards and 22-TDs (against 9-INTs), rushed for 754-yards and another 12-TDs, and has led the team in averaging eight points scored per game through the first nine games.

Any QB who leads his team in scoring is doing something special,

QBs don’t get credited for TDs thrown. Those are credited to the WRs. Any QB who leads his team in scoring is doing something special, owing to the fact he doesn’t get credited for any of the TDs he throws.

Collins has a tall task tonight. Collins will be entertaining a tough 6A squad in Great Crossing (6-3).

Collins is 5-4 on the year and has lost a three-pointer to a tough 4A squad in Spencer County (6-3) and a seven-pointer to a tough 6A squad in Oldham County (6-3). Needless to say it has been anything but smooth sailing for the Titans in ’24.

However, the playoffs are just around the corner and Lucas’s team is battle-tested and ready for action! First, the Titans have to get by tonight’s visitors.

However, should the Titans slide into the playoffs, 6-4, with a win over Great Crossing under their collective belts,…look out! They better stay calm, cool, and collected out there tonight. Matter of fact, it would serve them well to keep it cool out on that field this evening!
