Bruce Willis, a dual-threat, 2027 QB from West Tennessee who moved (luckily) into Murray High’s district this offseason, led his new team to an impressive, 58-50, double-overtime victory over Class 5A, first District contender Owensboro Apollo. Willis looks in firm control of Melvin Cunningham’s offense and able to deliver the type offensive production necessary for the Tigers to make another run at the Class 3A, KHSAA football title this year. Willis doesn’t throw it quite as well as last year’s QB (Wyatt Robbins) but he runs it better and the result in a dynamic, versatile offense that will be hard for 3A, western KY defenses to manage.
