The opener didn’t go as planned for the Christian County Tigers as the first year, Class 6A, D-1 team dropped its home opener by the exact margin we predicted last week, seven (7) points. Oh well, we do study this topic sufficiently to know a few things about a few things. The loss aside, the question, “Who scored the first official touchdown in Christian County Tiger history?” will always be answered, “Paul Abren.” Abren powered through the Cooper defense and into the end zone for the first TD scored by the new school in the Stadium of Champions and claims our first in-season (2026) Lasater’s Player of the Week Award.
