@jwright31504 (Jordan Wright, ’23 RB/DB) from @HCCols_Football is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded both the Colonels’ and the Henderson County community’s expectations. We are focusing on one of the class of ’23’s star RB/DB combo players in Jordan Wright.

Wright plays for the Henderson County Colonels. Henderson County High School is a first-district, Class 6A football team located in the same county as three separate Independence Bank locations at 76 South Green Street; 1100 Barrett Boulevard; and in the Gardenside Shopping Center on 2610 Zion Road.

Henderson plays that tough variety of football better known as Kentucky 6A. The Colonels turned in a 7-5 worksheet in ’21 and, with what they regularly play, that record comes out looking better and better all the time.

One of the chief cogs in the offense in ’21 was its running back Jordan Wright. Wright will be back for his senior season coming off a tremendous junior season particularly in light of the teams against which he compiled the production. Wright is seen, next level, as either a RB or a DB; but primarily makes his presence known on offense in high school.

In ’21, Wright carried the football 195-times. Over the course of those carries, he gained 1,009 yards from scrimmage scoring seven (7) rushing TDs along the way.

Wright caught 11-passes swinging out of the backfield, one (1) of which was for a TD. Jordan was also the second leading offensive scorer.

He had one other prodigious statistic we would be proud to memorialize. Jordan Wright has a 3.6 GPA. Numbers like that make his “next level” opportunities infinitely more boundless.

Congratulations to Jordan Wright, Class of ’23, for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
