There are some players with production so prodigious one has to wonder, “Why haven’t I heard of this guy?” Sometimes it is distance, sometimes it is poor coverage, sometimes one isn’t working hard enough to get out and learn who’s who via the immediate access to information we enjoy these days. With Ben Dalton, it is probably the hard luck he has experienced over his high school football career. He had a tremendous senior year and we are proud to recognize him today. Join us again next week as we recognize another outstanding player. HB.

Gough to start against Henderson County

October 29, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Gough is used to doing things well before anyone thinks he can. He started at one of Kentucky’s premier high-school programs as a freshman, he set the school’s single-season tackle mark as a sophomore, he made the AP All-State Football First-Team as a sophomore. The list just never seems to end. When he broke his leg the projections were he would be through for the year. Well, in keeping with Gough tradition, he was cleared to return to action in game 9. This makes him available for the playoffs, rested and full speed. Owensboro, at 8-1, was winning even without its marquee superstar. Imagine what they will do in the playoff run with him. Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

Henderson’s Daymian Dixon, Class of 2020 WR, is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

June 22, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Daymian Dixon last year decided to come out for football for the first time since he was enrolled at Henderson North Middle School. The results? Well, in his first game he caught 5 passes for 136 yards receiving and a pair of TD tosses. How’s that? He finished off 2018 with 32 receptions for 589 yards receiving and now, on the eve of his senior Fall campaign, appears poised to be one of the Colonels’ most pronounced offensive weapons. Congratulations to Dixon on being named the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week and join us next week as the fastest growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky anoints another recipient.

Meric-Dean Stinson, Class of 2019, Henderson County Colonels, is this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

June 1, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

We don’t know how the Henderson County Colonels will replace players like this week’s recipient, Meric-Dean Stinson. It is not everyday a team is fortunate enough to have a guy with Stinson’s heart and fight in the line-up. Make no mistake, Stinson was as responsible for the Colonels’s turn-around in 2018 as any other player on the team. No one works harder than Meric-Dean Stinson and efforts like his are worthy of recognition and celebration. That is exactly why he is being recognized this week by Kentucky’s fastest growing (and hardest working) financial institution, Independence Bank. Join us next week as we award this to another worthy football player.

Henderson’s Ian Pitt (Class of 2019) is this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week…

May 4, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Many people associate this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week with the sport of baseball. He is one of the most coveted prospects on the diamond across the commonwealth of Kentucky. However, Ian Pitt from Henderson County has the ability to play either or both sports collegiately and would be time well spent for any college program looking to shore up two, instead of just one, of its varsity sports. Read about Henderson County’s Ian Pitt brought to you by the fastest growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, your friends at Independence Bank. Join the revolution in banking.

KPGFootball’s Weekly Winners (08.31.2018)

August 29, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

Well, last week KPGFootball picked 17 football games and went 15-2. Not too shabby even if it is we saying so. We had enough fun doing that we decided we would go another round and, this time, we are picking 20 games. For some of these matchups we might make […]
