You can’t frame them out any better than Jhaden Vaughn. Vaughn is 6’5,” 186 and is a star on both the basketball and Track & Field teams in addition to football. Word out of Cadiz, KY is he will curtail some of his “other sports” to focus on what appears to be the “money sport,” which is football. He has six, big-time, D-1 offers as of the date this article was written. No telling how many he will have when it posts.

Jhaden Vaughn plays for 3A, Trigg County. Trigg County has mined some significant football talent before Vaughn.
Have you ever heard of Al Baker (UK), Robert Stinson (UK), or even Cameron Jordan (Bethel by way of the US Naval Academy)? Point is, the Wildcat program is getting it done when it comes to getting its prospects recruited next level.
The Wildcats, coming off a 7-win campaign, boast more than Vaughn when it comes to prospects. Things are heating up on the recruiting trail for TayShaun Linton.
Still, Vaughn is drawing droves of D-1, FBS, and even Power 5 football coaches to Lake Barkley and Cadiz, Kentucky. They aren’t coming to try their swings on the Boots Randolph Golf Course either. If you look at Vaughn’s considerable physical attributes, it is easy to see why.
Vaughn is 6’5,” and weighs 186-pounds. He’s a sprinter on the track team, clipping off 200-meters in a fully automated 25 or so seconds.
Vaughn can play safety or WR and plays both ways in Cadiz. At WR, where he is the consummate player in western Kentucky at the position, Vaughn caught 39-balls in ’22 to lead the team and accounted for 862-receiving yards on the season with 9-TD’s. His yards receiving and TD’s receiving both led the team too.

Vaughn was second on the team in scoring. That is just what he did on offense.
Defensively, Vaughn registered 25-tackles and was among the leaders in PBU’s. That is certainly more than “token” defensive participation for a guy who was staggeringly important on the offensive side of the football.
Vaughn has been offered by WKU, UAB, Miami of Ohio, EKU, Murray State, and Vandy. Everyone of those offers are FBS-level, and Vandy is a Power-5 ride (SEC).
There is another statistic which recommends Vaughn highly to recruiters. They love his 3.0 GPA. This means he will likely be academically eligible and capable of actualizing a return on the school’s grant-in-aid investment.

For now we are left anticipating what Vaughn will do to his district and whether he can put the Wildcats in Kentucky title contention. Vaughn is setting the pace presently. If his teammates pick up the same pace, these ‘Cats may be tough outs!
