🎶There’s no place that I’d rather be than right here; my redneck, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer🎶

Nathan shares a surname with a famous brand of beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon. The Nathan we are discussing is Beechwood’s Nathan Pabst; and, for all we know, Beechwood’s Nathan Pabst may be directly descended from Frederick Pabst. We know this, Nathan Pabst should get a blue ribbon for his game play for his Tigers over the course of his junior season. Pabst had a huge game against St. Henry and he only had a few opportunities as the first string watched much of this game from the sideline. Yessir, there’s no place that I’d rather be than right here…

Fort Mitchell, KY: Beechwood High School is one of Kentucky’s foremost football programs at any level of play. The Tigers routinely play all comers, regardless of enrollment or classification, and is ranked by MaxPreps.com as the KHSAA’s 24th best football team out of the 227 high schools which field varsity football rosters.
Beechwood has won 18-KHSAA titles. The Tigers are working on title number 19, having won the 2A title a year ago over Owensboro Catholic, 50-34.
Nathan Pabst is a ’27 prospect who is extremely versatile for the Beechwood program. Pabst is listed as playing WR/HB/CB and he is instrumental in all three phases of the attack.
The St. Henry game this past weekend was a good example. Pabst only had three (3) carries, two (2) of which he housed, for 81-rushing yards. Pabst caught a single pass, but he carried it 51-yards into the end zone for a TD.
Pabst scored 24-points for the team (two rushing, one-receiving, one “pick-six”). Pabst played defense too, registering a tackle and two INTs, one of which he housed.
That is a ton of production for a player who only got a handful of opportunities. Can’t warrant playing Pabst extensively, Beechwood did win the game 70-0.
Pabst is 5’9,” weighing 170-pounds. Pabst has a 3.9-GPA and is a candidate to play either near-Ivy or Ivy League football with his scores.

Beechwood is 6-1 on the year. The Tigers only loss was to Covington Catholic, a 5-3, 4A team considered a title contender, perennially, at the 4A level of competition.
Looking ahead for Beechwood, the Tigers get an overmatched Gallatin County (1-6) tonight with the Polar Bears from Bracken County looming the 24th of October. Bracken County will be 6-2 entering next week’s contest with one of its losses being by a single point to a 7-0 Holy Cross (Covington) team.
Beechwood will end this season with a tremendous RPI boost. The Tigers have scheduled a regular season ender with Campbell County. Campbell County only has two wins as of the writing of this piece but are a 6A ball club meaning their RPI will be increased by 60% of its then existing number.
Beechwood is the sixth highest RPI in 2A presently. Playing a 6A team to close the year should help that out substantially.
