Adams, also a wrestler, won a KYMSFA title at 120-pounds in MS
Cooper Adams is a young guy who has made the abundance of his contributions, thus far, on special teams and defense. Coach Ezell sees him growing into an OLB and perhaps a slot guy on offense. Ezell says he could play some RB too, just depending on how his frame finishes out. Adams is a former MS wrestling state champion (120-pound weight class) and is having success on varsity so far this year. The finest compliment which can be paid any player by any coach is Ezell telling KPGFootball that Adams is “…the kind of kid you want on your team.”

It is a locally owned, independent bank which has expanded, through the years, to locations in Hopkinsville and Murray in addition to Cadiz. The Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company has focused on community finance and dealing face-to-face with both families and small-business owners while fulfilling customer needs and the dreams of area families and businesses regardless of size or construct.
We, like our area schools, strive for high performance and finding ways to prosper in an ever-changing economic environment. The Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company remains committed to superior performance goals coupled with an exceptional quality of customer service.
’29 DB/ATH/Slot, Cooper Adams was among the local, young, high school athletes who also rendered a superior performance while achieving exceptional quality this past season. What will this star, multi-sport athlete pull off as a sophomore?
Well, that is the reason Adams is our featured player of the week. Perhaps we can arrive at some sort of an answer.

Cadiz, KY: Cooper Adams is wiry and tough. We knew all of this when he came out of middle school and enrolled at the high school.
As a freshman, Adams got a significant amount of varsity run. Adams was primarily a defense and special teams player but is someone we could see fitting on the offensive side as his development continues.
Adams has been described to KPGFootball as “scrappy.” We asked his head football coach, Chris Ezell, about him and he had some very positive things to say about his young star.
“Adams is a tough kid. Adams is very coachable. Adams works very hard and is the kind of player you want to have on your team.”
Well said, Coach Ezell, we can think of no higher praise. Coach also told us Adams is primarily a wrestler. Matter of fact, Adams won a state title in middle school at his weight class and is already have success wrestling in high school.
Wrestling is not the only success Adams has experienced in high school to date. Adams, in eight games of PT, had 19-tackles and carried the ball a couple times on offense.
Adams didn’t necessarily set the world on fire. However, Adams was disciplined, consistent, and produced on the field and under the Friday Night Lights each and every time the opportunity presented.

Trigg County had some contributions from some ’29 kids this season. It is believed the MS program will send some ’30s likely to pitch in and help right away.
Ezell told KPGFootball, “We will have one or two that may get some real playing time. Quay Green and Elijah McKelvey will at least be special teams contributors. Ayden Ellington will have a chance to play on one of our lines as a rotation piece.
Trigg is a program which fields some athletes to man is first string but finding sufficient depth to offset injuries has been an issue. Next season looks like it will be similar. There will be talent, and if the talent can stay healthy and on the field, there is no reason to not expect Trigg to be one of the more skilled and exciting teams to play at its level of competition.
Trigg has to stay healthy. That makes this offseason, and Adams and the other young players’s commitment to training all the more important building up to the coming Fall.
It is nice to have some talent on hand. Players like Cooper Adams can take programs quite a ways.
