Cole Hodge isn’t the only threat around the household; Connor (’25, WR/DB) is quite the weapon too
Cole Hodge is considered the top dual threat QB in Kentucky at any classification and in any graduating year. His brother, Connor, is just as coveted a football prospect and as lethal in his own right. “The other Hodge” caught 110-balls in ’23 for 1,600-yards receiving and 25-TDs. Connor appears headed to East Carolina to join up with Cole but he has another year of high school to first negotiate. Here’s the rub; Connor is just as good on defense as he is on offense. That is really quite the statement.

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.
Today we honor a ’25 WR/DB many, around the commonwealth, believe to be the very best two phase weapon returning to play in the Fall of ’24. This week’s recipient had an incredible year in ’23 which is how he was selected to the News Radio 840WHAS & KPGFootball, Small School All-State Football team. Today we honor Connor Hodge, ’25 WR/DB, from Louisville, Kentucky’s Christian Academy.
Louisville’s Christian Academy is located just down the road from two (2) Louisville area Independence Bank branches. The featured branch today is the one located on St. Matthews Square on 3901 Shelbyville Road. We also have a branch located on 1900 Colonel Sanders Lane (pictured) both in Louisville-proper.
Get on by the Louisville area locations today and see our friends. Learn why Independence Bank‘s products, people, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry.
Connor Hodge is the lesser known of the Hodge brothers but is no less accomplished. Hodge may be the best WR in the commonwealth of Kentucky and may also be its best third-level defender (DB).
In ’23, the junior WR/DB caught 110-receptions for 1,600-yards with 25 TDs. Connor Hodge led the Centurions in scoring (160-points), INTs (11), IRNYs (177) and pick sixes (2).
Hodge helped lead his team to another 3A championship. In the offing, CAL finished 14-1 with a 14-12 loss to LCA, in Louisville on September 8th, the only blemish.
Connor Hodge has committed to East Carolina where the two Hodges will reunite hoping to capture the same magic the two enjoyed at CAL, where they won multiple titles together. The Pirates, usually a tough AAC (American Athletic Conference, FBS, Division I) customer, struggled in ’23, going 2-10 overall and 1-7 in the league.
For now, Connor will come back and lead the Centurions on a trek toward a possible third consecutive championship. Can Connor get it done with big-brother off slinging the tater around the FBS? Now that’s the sixty-four dollar question, isn’t it? Twenty-twenty-four just can’t get here fast enough.
