Grantland Rice once extolled the virtues of four Notre Dame football players he dubbed “The Four Horsemen.” Christian Academy had its own four horsemen in ’23 and they rode them to the title. Two of the four are walking the graduation stage leaving the other two behind. One of those will be RB, Jeffrey Vazzana, and he will be very good next season. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

How does a high school program such as 2X defending 3A champion, CAL, replace a QB with over 4,000-yards passing in ’23 and 55-TDs against only 7-picks? How about with a 6’5,” 210 pound rising junior who is a varsity athlete in both football and basketball (just like a taller version of Hodge)! Yeah, that’ll do it. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

Connor Hodge and his brother, Cole, both just made our Small-School All-State Football team. We collaborated on this team with NewsRadio 840 WHAS out of Louisville. Hodge’s numbers were as sick as his brother’s and both the Hodges are headed to ECU in the AAC to play collegiately together. Maybe the Hodge brothers can replicate, in FBS, Division I, the same magic they performed together in the KHSAA’s 3A classification. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to celebrate with us the services, people, and financial products which have caused a revolution in Kentucky’s banking industry.

Cole Hodge has had a sensational career at Christian Academy-Louisville (CAL). He has been a star on the hardwood and the gridiron. The 6’2,” 190-pounder is going to Eastern Carolina to lead its program into college football glory. I get a feeling some in-state schools are going to regret letting this guy get out of Kentucky, mark our words. In the meantime, the Centurions look poised to win a title this year and the Hodge brothers (Cole and Conner) will play a huge part in it. Cole Hodge has long been considered among the commonwealth’s top signal callers in his graduating class. Hodge has all the tools and “measurables” with the on-field production to match. He is the kind of guy we relish rewarding at both Mingua Beef Jerky and at KPGFootball. Congratulations and don’t forget to pick up a few bags of our one-of-a-kind beef jerky products to #savortheflavor! HB.

Here is our best guess at the five best teams heading into the ’22 season in the 3A classification. We were right on the money a year ago picking Belfry to win and Paducah to make the final game. Man, did we look stupid at the mid-way point and genius at the end. Hopefully, we will once again demonstrate our superior knowledge and work ethic. Enjoy. HB.

Preseason look at Class 3A; here’s our top-5 heading into ’21. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @KyHighFootball

This should start a ton of crap. Class 3A was particularly hard to predict this preseason. First of all, there were so many teams from a year ago completely decimated by graduation. There may be even better players waiting in the wings to take the departing players’ place but that is something hard for us to know. We don’t pick teams in our top-5 who can’t make it out of the district round of the playoffs in our estimation. This bothered the Murray High fans when we released our 2A top-5 and they were excluded. It is simple, we don’t see them getting past Mayfield two years in a row. Anyhow, here is our take concerning the 3A classification. Enjoy the feature. Let the debate commence. HB.

We thought it would be fun to forecast which ten MS players were likely to hit the field first in 2020 on Friday night. We have also included some innuendo we have heard about where some of these guys may end up this Fall. It’s conjecture as we really don’t know anything but we hear rumors and this site is protected and only for the benefit of subscribers so, hey, that’s for what we are paid the big money. Enjoy the article which is the first of a two-parter. HB.
