Our only regret…we are out of opportunities to award @AndrewMunster from McLean County the @1776Bank “Revolutionary Player of the Week” more than this last time. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is Andrew Munster who saw his career end in the first round but who has been a four-time recipient of this award. Munster is out of eligibility (high-school wise) which we believe to be cause for mourning around McLean County. Go on by and see our friends at your local Independence Bank and thank them, not just for this series, but for the outstanding service and products which have started a revolution in the banking industry. Enjoy the article. HB.

If you have been reading our weekly “Outstanding Performances…” articles, the series of articles should have impressed upon you how very difficult winning this award really is. We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, the high schools were off and the middle schoolers seized center stage. No one on that level of play thrust himself into a commonwealth-wide discussion any more forcefully than this week’s Protein-packed Performer. What do we mean by this? Well, read the article and see! Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

This is a new concept we are calling the “Second Time Around.” All of the teams we have chosen to feature played the other during the regular season. These are five matchups we believe may turn out differently than when the two teams first met in 2020. Here is our breakdown. Enjoy the article!

Middle Schoolers got the “bright lights” of center stage this week owing to the KHSAA being off a week. While garnering the spotlight, some of the Junior High guys really took advantage. One of those was this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week. Hayden Canady from @PCCHSFootball is one of the Class of 2024’s brightest future stars. @Minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

We’ve learned a few things over the years from kids, or even grown men, named “Canady.” We have learned to expect a champion’s effort, performance, grit, and toughness. That is why it is no surprise Hayden Canady, like the Canady’s who have come along before, is a champion in multiple sports. Expect big things from this young ’24 prospect. HB.

@CentreFootball…making its presence felt with @KyHighFootball ’21 prospects. @Minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin

There seems to be a movement among some of Kentucky’s definitive players at their respective positions to spurn offers from “larger” programs to attend schools like Centre College. Many people have expressed surprise with the in-roads Centre’s football program has made with top-notch ’21 Kentucky prospects. However, should anyone really be surprised? We don’t think so!

Murray High may have a backfield full of the hardest names to spell in all of football. You virtually need a doctorate to even attempt to spell Rowdy Sokolowski, Brendon Dahncke, or Charvelle McCallister. This week’s recipient, Brendon Dahncke, had a particularly good game in one of his team’s more important games of the year, against cross-town, 4A, District 1 heavyweight, Calloway County. It was a battle for supremacy in the city of Murray and the county of Calloway and Dahncke led his team to the winner’s circle. Enjoy this article about one of Kentucky’s hardest working 2021 backfield “grinders,” Brendon Dahncke, from your friends at the fastest growing bank in Kentucky, Independence Bank.
