How does a high school program such as 2X defending 3A champion, CAL, replace a QB with over 4,000-yards passing in ’23 and 55-TDs against only 7-picks? How about with a 6’5,” 210 pound rising junior who is a varsity athlete in both football and basketball (just like a taller version of Hodge)! Yeah, that’ll do it. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

New CCHS Coach, Ethan Atchley, will NOT find the cupboard barren, not while there are some [Jimmarion] Byrd[s] flying around @CoachAtchley @ColonelFootball @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @840WHAS

We attended the Atchley presser. He is an impressive guy and will turn that program around lickety-split. He has some material left over around whom to build. One of those “Dude” is a “Byrd.” Jimmarion Byrd is a ’26 guy who has plus size, plus athleticism, and plus hostility and feel for the game. Jimmarion plays angrily, like anyone would want from a LB/Edge guy. Enjoy the feature and get ready for the Atchley Show. Friday Night Fletch.

We have been covering the Hopkins County Central this offseason. Frankly, it is a fun cover. For starters, they are among the more up and coming programs in the 3A classification on the western end of Kentucky. Secondly, the Storm compete in an ultra competitive district stocked with good teams and high profile coaches and players. Enjoy this look at a young player we believe will factor mightily in the Storm’s prospects this coming Fall. Friday Night Fletch.

Kadence Price is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @All_American_Me @1776Bank @840WHAS @KyHighFootball

February 14, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Kadence Price is a big, big boy and the son of a grown man who played at WKU himself back in the day. This is Chris Price’s son and even a cursory look at the kid reveals quite a resemblance. Young Price was the runner-up in the 250-pound weight class this past weekend at the 41st Kentucky HS Powerlifting Championships. If that isn’t worth some beef jerky we dare say we don’t know what is. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor. Friday Night Fletch.

Drew Johnson from Owensboro (Senior High) is from a winning pedigree and has a proven record of success stemming generations… @EliHampton11 @SrHighFootball @TrevorDeLacey @840WHAS @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank

February 10, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Pedigree may not mean everything when it comes to football but it isn’t meaningless either. We see this with the inordinate amount of former players’ sons and coaches’ sons who go on to star at the various levels of football competition from HS to the NFL. Coming from generations of people accustomed to winning at life pay dividends too, HS coaches tell us. Enjoy this feature. Friday Night Fletch.

Trevor DeLacey from Owensboro (Senior) High is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week (again) @TrevorDeLacey @840WHAS @minguabeefjerky

February 9, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Trevor is a QB prospect that “QB-Hit List” believes has it all. The nationally circulated QB evaluator touts DeLacey’s accuracy, arm strength, release, his ability to throw on the run, his footwork, his ability to play with poise, and his pocket presence. Trevor has top-shelf decision making and throws the deep ball with tremendous touch. Enjoy this look at this superior QB in the 5A classification and don’t forget to get by your local Independence Bank and discover why and how our people, financial products, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry. Friday Night Fletch.

Storm Warning: McDaniel Ready to Lead the Defense- @Michael60053670 @_Elite3 @Coach_Lovely @_CoachManning @evans02_mike @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @840WHAS

Michael McDaniel is a player we have before featured. He is a ’25 prospect who had an enviable frame and good length (6’1,” 195-pounds). He is a versatile athlete who also plays varsity basketball. He fits with our practice this offseason of featuring versatile athletes who are multi-phase contributors or who play a variety of varsity sports. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.

Khalil White promises sunnier skies are on the Lincoln County horizon @khalilwhiteee @KyHighFootball @KYEXPOSURE @12thSports @LCFB_Recruiting

February 6, 2024 Fletcher Long 0

Khalil White is a ’25 DE/TE with the frame colleges like to see. He is 6’3,” 200-pounds with plenty of length and the frame to add quite a bit of “good weight” this offseason. White has seen most of his action of defense but that could well change over the course of his senior season depending on what the Patriots need. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch.
