We have been featuring the players who are jumping on in-state schools early as opposed to “waiting and seeing” whether there is room in the Inn for them at the D-1 level. Lots of tremendous opportunities and football below the D-1 level. This article features two kids who came to this realization and who happen to be two kids we have before covered many times. Enjoy the article. HB.

Here is a guy who helped lead the best high school defensive ball club many experts believe to have ever played on a high school football field in Kentucky history. He is committed to play collegiately for the Centre Colonels. Of course, he is also our Independence Bank’s Revolutionary Player of the Week. Join us again next week as we recognize another worthy recipient.

@_reecejr (Reece Jesse Jr., Hopkinsville High) soon to be playing for @UofLFootball is the @Minguabeefjerky “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” @KyHighFootball @1776Bank @HoptownFootball

Another prototype here in Reece Jesse, Jr. at the WR position. Man, what a career he enjoyed and what a spectacle he provided for all of us fans to enjoy. We predict big things from this guy next level. It is only fitting a company known for selling one-of-a-kind, hand-cut, solid pieces of beef in its beef jerky products should decide to award its weekly distinction to a one-of-a-kind performer at the receiver position. He has consistently been ranked among Kentucky’s finest and just completed a career at Class 4A Hopkinsville absolutely supportive of his rankings. Reece Jesse, Jr., with many options to go away and play Division I, FBS football far away from home has elected to stay home and be a Louisville Cardinal. Good luck to this young man we have enjoyed getting to know and watch play over the course of his fine high school career.

There are some schools around Kentucky absolutely feasting on in-state football talent in filling out the programs’ football rosters. We couldn’t be happier about it. Some real ‘prime-timers’ are finding considerable value in pursuing options other than waiting around and hoping there is room left for them at the heel of some bigger school’s football program during these uncertain, unchartered times. Because of this, some D-1 skill sets are finding their way into the student bodies of some prestigious academic institutions and on the rosters of some prestigious football programs. In-state college football play will absolutely benefit. Many area schools are already nationally ranked at their levels of play. These kids stand the chance to really benefit too. Enjoy this article. Several top-flight ’21s are coming off the board quickly, unwilling to “wait and see” if there is room for them at the inn as things go along, some of these guys are using more than their athletic prowess to find the “other ways there are to skin cats.” Enjoy this article as we have linked highlights for all three players featured in this article.
