Every now and again a magazine like ours should feature a hardworking kid with a team first mentality. You know the type. The type who prefers to lead by example and prides himself on being one of the smartest players on the field. Today, we elected to feature a guy to whom the only numbers which mattered were “wins” and “losses.” Enjoy the feature. HB.
Here is a kid who deserves a seat at the table of top-flight, Kentucky ’22 line talent. Good linemen are hard to find and are in demand at any level of play. This guy here will have many suitors, and because of his grades, the possibilities for him are limitless. Enjoy the feature. HB.
As we say farewell to another group of ballers we have covered since they played in middle school, we get to meet and update our database with an entire new class of up-and-coming stars who will play their freshman seasons this coming Fall. Many of these guys will start on Friday Night sometime during their initial campaigns. Some of these guys will start night one, snap one and we aren’t talking about on specials either. Today, we are highlighting a kid we call around the magazine a “No-doubter.” Why? Well, you may have to just read this article and find out. HB.
This is a huge get for Wildcat fans as this kid is, by consensus, one of Kentucky’s premier players both in the class of ’21 and at his position (linebacker) commonwealth-wide.
Here’s a ’26 prospect at the QB position which seems to check all of our boxes about what we would want in a QB at his stage of development around the magazine. Enjoy this article about Mayfield Middle’s super-7th-grader, Maddox O’Neil. HB.
We have written about this prospect before today. We have talked about the importance of the offseason ad nauseam. Max Gibbs is a 2023 QB in Kentucky surging up the list of players in the commonwealth at his position. That is what happens when you attend the QB Hit List national combine and come away a nationally ranked prospect. Enjoy the article. HB.
Hayes Preston is an 8th-grader who will hit a high school roster next year and make an immediate impact. He is one of middle school’s definitive players on both sides of the football and one of his class’s most decorated players. Enjoy this look at this week’s “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” HB.
You talk about dipping your bait in Kentucky waters and pulling out a whale of a prospect, that is exactly what Hanover College appears to have just done with Austin Oppel from Meade County. Congratulations all the way around here. Enjoy this victory lap of an article. HB.
The Best of the Midwest is quite literally around the corner. We have a link for you to register but I wouldn’t let much moss grow on that stone if I were you. Good luck. HB.
He has consistently been ranked among Kentucky’s finest and just completed a career at Class 4A Hopkinsville absolutely supportive of his rankings. Reece Jesse, Jr., with many options to go away and play Division I, FBS football far away from home has elected to stay home and be a Louisville Cardinal. Good luck to this young man we have enjoyed getting to know and watch play over the course of his fine high school career.
