Chris Larkey walks the sidelines at the same school his dad, Tom, developed into a consistent contender who teams often dreaded playing in the day. The boys from the Rock are always hard, with apologies to Easy E. Enjoy this look at the type talent which generally reverses varsity programs’ fortunes. Also, learn a little something about getting recruited and the type information colleges want to see warehoused on your social media sites like Twitter. HB.

Theo (Keyshawn) Jones from Tates Creek looking for the right place to land… @theothekid5 @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @TCreekfootball @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLPreps

The time is fast approaching when we will say “Goodbye” to covering ’23’s and move into the younger set. We are two-days, post-NSD, so the clock is ticking. We can’t leave the class until the top-flight talent in the class is taken care of and has a place to land. Here is an available athlete who would make a fantastic “add” to any class among the 17 or so colleges or universities in Kentucky who field football teams. Just saying…HB.

A rose by any other name…Taylor Hansford coming on at Taylor County… @CoachSchuman @TaylorHansford_ @TCCardinalsFB @ScottParkey @SportsTaylor @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLPreps

Taylor Hansford plays MLB for Taylor County. I imagine a guy named “Taylor” should quarterback the defense for “Taylor” County. However, one should never read too much into a name. This particular Taylor just happens to be a fine football player. Enjoy the feature. HB.

This week’s @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer is Raceland, Kentucky’s ’26 prospect, Bryson Rowsey. @racelandramsfb @RacelandFootba1 @1776Bank @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLPreps

It is hard to get on the field as a freshman. When you play for one of Kentucky’s more storied programs, regardless of classification, it can be THAT much harder. This week’s Protein-packed Performer made his limited appearances count for his team. Enjoy this feature about this very fine freshman and don’t forget to #Savortheflavor. HB

Zachary Philpot, ’26, from North Laurel High is the type of framed-out prospect and talent which has people fired up around London, Kentucky… @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @zleeboy54 @kyhighs @HLPreps @MaxPreps @PrepSpin @NLJAGSFOOTBALLZ

We have been featuring quite a few young ball players from London, KY’s North Laurel High. Some of you may be wondering why? It isn’t as if the Jaguars have been owning the 5A classification (6-6 in ’22). However, this team has some really nice talent coming down the pipelines and their days of hanging around .500 seems numbered. HB.

Javen Huddleston, ’24 RB from BGHS, will figure prominently in the coming ‘Mr. Football’ race… @JavenH06 @DeuceBailey1 @Erik_Losey @_CoachHeck @QuadrupleCov859 @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball

If you are picking early favorites for next season’s ‘Mr. Football,’ this guy here would seem as safe a bet as any. He is very versatile, running for over a thousand yards in 13-games and catching nearly 30-footballs swinging out of the backfield. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Cooper Robinson ready to take the next step at North Laurel. @coop_robinson28 @VTOSPORTS @coachmcdaniel22 @coachtf @Egregory3222 @athletics_nlhs @PrepSpin @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps

’26 RB/DB had promising year; will make huge strides next season Cooper Robinson was among the more physically gifted 9th graders playing 5A football across Kentucky over the ’22 season. He gained 9-games of action as a freshman which, standing alone, is quite an accomplishment. This player is only going […]

It probably isn’t easy being the son of one of the most recognizable Kentucky Wildcats in the history of that program. It isn’t easy to have to play DE for one of Kentucky’s marquee programs especially among the smaller classifications of schools. Lots of things in life aren’t easy. One still has to soldier on and find ones own way. Chase Couch is doing just that and, in the offing, becoming one of his class’s more targeted edge rushers. HB.

Andrew Vrbancic setting the 2025 standard for TE play… @AndrewVrbancic @LMHSCoachWolfe @2025Legends @JoeyJWagner @TimHaworth13 @TaulWill @kyhighs @HLPreps @KyHighFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @MaxPreps @PrepSpin

This guy here seems to have all the ear-markings for Kentucky’s next star TE in the high school ranks. He plays for a marquee program in the 6A classification, has a desirable frame which plenty of room for “good weight.” To top it all off, he can also LS. Enjoy the feature. HB.
