Jaxon Wells is a rising 8th-grader with an uncommonly large frame. He is freakishly strong, freakishly powerful, and freakishly explosive. He is also freakishly good at football. He will be among the most talked about 8th graders in the commonwealth this next Fall as his middle school program battles and contends for its 10th title at that level of play. Enjoy this middle school spotlight on the best two-way lineman se have to offer. Friday Night Fletch.

Trigg County has a hoss middle school team led by a hoss. You may not remember Coach Taylor McGee but he was an All-State player for Trigg County High, broke the Kentucky Powerlifting Meet bench press record (at the time) competing in the sport’s Heavyweight Division (435-pound bench), played in college at KENTUCKY WESLEYAN, and is now coaching the Middle School Wildcats where he has enjoyed unparalleled success at the helm. Enjoy this feature about a team certainly one of the more talented competing at the middle school level anywhere across the commonwealth. Friday Nigh Fletch

Ty Phillips, the type ‘can’t miss’ middle schooler we’ve been discussing… @KyHighFootball @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @evans02_mike @Yfnmcnary @KYFUTURESTARS @1776Bank @kyhighs @WebCoFootball @HLpreps

We talk about ‘no doubters’ in football. Those are prospects who come from the middle school ranks likely or even destined to play, and play early, under the Friday Night Lights sometime over the course of their freshman seasons. We are very good at identifying those types. Our track record of correctly calling it before it happens is well documented. Well, Ty Phillips, from Webster County, looks like a ‘no doubter’ to us. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Middle School Spotlight: @DylanLee36 (’26 WR/DB) wants to charge his way onto the field for his @ryleraiderfball Raiders as early as this next Fall. @1776Bank @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @KYFUTURESTARS

Ryle keeps pumping quality talent onto its roster and into its program. Dylan Lee is no different. Dylan is a track star and 2X Kentucky middle school 100m sprint champion. Will he play when he hits the Raiders roster this Fall. We believe him likely to start and probably in the back-third as opposed to out wide but we do expect he will be a star WR before it is all said and done. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Belfry Middle School wins or competes for KYMSFA championships yearly. Guess what? The high school version of the football team does the exact same thing at the KHSAA level. Are these things interconnected? How can they not be? Enjoy this look at one of the newly minted stars headed for Coach Haywood’s ’22 varsity roster. HB.
