2024’s Cole Hodge…we’re pretty sure Tennessee won’t be happy to see he’s back…

May 23, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Tennessee will have to do something this year we don’t believe they have ever before had to accomplish in series history. The 7th-grade Team Tennessee Future Stars will again face the same QB who came back and beat them in the game a year ago when that guy was in the 6th grade. Can Cole Hodge win Offensive MVP in the 7th grade game two years in a row? We don’t know, but it sure will be fun to see the question answered. Enjoy today’s article regarding North Oldham’s Cole Hodge. It will be pay-walled tomorrow.

Ethan Bednarczyk, winning the right way…

May 22, 2019 Henry Lyon 2

When guys like this win, it feels like we all win. This is a kid we have been praising and featuring through the years since coming on line. He has earned a scholarship offer to a Division I program which is also one of the country’s most elite institutions of high learning, and its second oldest. Congratulations to Ethan Bednarczyk from all of your friends at KPGFootball. #GoTribe.

The two young men whose pictures are attached to this article and published on the front page of the magazine will be in next month’s Future Stars Classic QBing Tennessee and Kentucky. Joshuah Keith is an athlete and QB with physical skills which would make him exceptional were he a senior in HS. He’s presently a 7th grader. Read and enjoy this article about a special player and athlete whose equal you may not see again for many years in Kentucky. HB

Barrett Traditional’s Cole Wickliffe, the total package at the TE slot for Team KY-8th Future Stars

May 17, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Old Coach Lyon didn’t know anything about this kid and couldn’t learn anything either through conventional techniques so I asked Coach Long if he wouldn’t lend a hand. Lucky for KPGFootball, Long was able to get Director Hughes who couldn’t be quiet about the kid and his abilities. It would appear this kid is the total package at the TE position. Enjoy the article about Louisville’s Cole Wickliffe.

KPGFootball adding a new principal writer to the fold…

May 13, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

All of you who have subscribed, bought articles, and/or have supported or advertised with KPGFootball have meant the world to me. It is time for a new writer, with a new by-line, to step in and continue the unparalleled coverage you have come to expect from KPGFootball. I’ll still be around watching Kentucky football intently and being involved with the magazine and its continued coverage and media-related obligations.

Kentuckians invade Tennessee Mega-Camp and show-out

May 12, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

We were invited down to cover the Elite 3 Foundation’s Tennessee Mega-Camp. Needless to say we took full advantage of such a golden opportunity. There were four Kentuckians there and we thought we would break-down how they performed. Like is generally the case, the Kentuckians showed (once again) why the perception Kentucky is a “basketball state” is just grossly in error. Enjoy this article about the four Kentuckians who performed yesterday against some of the best and most highly recruited players middle-Tennessee has to offer.

Anias MItchell, from Browning Springs Middle School is this week’s Independence Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week

May 11, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

In honor of the upcoming Kentucky-Tennessee Future Stars Classic, we thought we would honor a Madisonville area middle schooler. We have already awarded this award to Jordan Miles who made Team Kentucky as a DB. We thought why not award it to Anias MItchell, who is an Alternate and isn’t quite on the team yet but has certainly shown he belongs in unique company when it comes to playing the game of football.

Will Issac Sowells Jr. (feature photo: Chad Smith) “Spike” the 6th Grade Team Kentucky Future Stars’ fortunes this summer? We sure think so…

May 10, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Isaac Sowells, Jr. is another example of an acorn which didn’t fall far from its tree. Isaac Sowell, Sr., played 27 ball games for the Hoosiers at IU, was selected in the 4th round of the NFL draft and played in the League for several years. Little Sowells, who won’t be little for very long, will certainly spike various aspects of Team Kentucky Future Stars (6th) fortunes this coming Summer.
