There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on players whose performance both has and continues to exceed both the Red Devils and Owensboro community’s expectations.

Today, we are focusing on the Bret Cooper Junior All-Americans (above pictured) down in Dallas right now to play in the East vs. West, Middle School, All-American Football Classic. These players all played for Coach Greg Brown at Owensboro Junior High this past season and are set to attend OHS which is located right down the road from 3 Independence Bank branches on 2425 Frederica Street, 2465 W. Parrish Avenue, and 3228 KY-54, respectively.

This is a special week for those publications which include the middle school game as an endeavor worthy of coverage in the sport of football. There will be no more star-studded collection of the Nation’s very best, middle school aged football players than what is presently in Dallas, Texas for the Bret Cooper Junior Academic All-American Football Game. There are numerous Kentuckians in Dallas highlighting what we already know both at Independence Bank and KPGFootball…the fact that Kentucky plays the game of football very well. This is borne out by the fact both the 7th and 8th grade Team Kentuckys have recently place 5th at the FBU National Championships.

Keith

As one would imagine, we have eyes and ears all over Dallas, Texas for this special showcase of national, middle school, football talent. There have been some early impressive performances too. For one, 13 year old, Joshuah Keith, our number 2 ranked QB in Kentucky’s Class of 2024, is running with the Ones for the 15-under, East-Team. We have also learned JT Adams and Caleb Singleton have both impressed everyone involved as being at the very top of the East Team’s pool of talent at LB. When asked specifically about the Owensboro Junior High players the only response our scouts have uttered back to us was Oh My God!

The eight OMS football players, above featured, are all running first-team and the performance of both Zach Clark and Ethan Pendleton have been praised to us based on yesterday’s three-hour practice session. We talked to Greg Brown, their middle school head coach yesterday and he didn’t seem the least bit surprised either. According to him, this is the best OMS team, as far as top to bottom talent, he believes he has ever put on the field. So far, the coaches for the East-team appear completely in agreement.

Congratulations to the Bret Cooper Junior All-Americans from Owensboro, Kentucky for their Revolutionary Play  which has earned them this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
