Middle School Spotlight: @CameronOHara15 from @BooneCoRebels came through this season…just as we predicted! @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @1776Bank

Here is a kid we just knew would have a big year. Did we know he would account for 42 TDs over the course of his 8th-grade season? Well, of course not! Who could have possibly predicted that? Still, never let it be said we don’t know a player when seeing one. Enjoy this look back on a prediction we couldn’t have gotten any more correct. HB.

@HBaker63, Class of ’24, from @RedhoundsFB is ‘getting there.’ @J50_ProTraining @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

Not everyone hits the lineup when the “experts” believe they should. In some programs it is much harder to hit the field than in others. That shouldn’t diminish the ability and skill exhibited by young interior bigs like Hayden Baker from Corbin however. Especially when he is so willing to put in the offseason work. Enjoy the feature. HB.

@gabewalker04 from @StewartsCreekFB is a champion who wouldn’t be denied… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @CentreFootball

Centre College hosted one of its top targets in Tennessee’s Gabe Walker (RB/ATH). Walker is just the latest example of the type talent prestigious schools like the “Yale of Kentucky” routinely sign for inclusion among its rosters. Walker is a difference maker touring and evaluating a school which would end up making a tremendous difference in his life and the life of his family. Make no mistake, the Colonels will be keenly interested in gaining his signature. Enjoy the feature. HB.

William Mitchum (’22) from @MurrayTigerFB is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

We are transitioning away from the class of ’22 toward the classes which will continue to compete in succeeding seasons. However, we can’t help ourselves sometimes reminiscing about players we have enjoyed covering over the years. We thought it would be only fitting to begin the year 2022 remembering the fine play of a class of ’22 stalwart along the Murray High defensive line. Enjoy the feature and join us again a week from today to do this all over once more. HB.

The @KPGFootball 2021 Kentucky All-State Football Team… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps

January 6, 2022 Henry Lyon 0

With every team coming out right about now we thought we would publish one ourselves. We are still voting members of the AP team and will be voting fairly consistent with these selections you see here. We were sitting around the magazine on a slow day and decided, what the heck; let’s put out an All-State team, what the heck. We didn’t get them all, but we are certain these players are all deserving of this recognition and players we would select if we were picking a team of high school players to play a team from elsewhere. Flame away! HB.

@RyneRandall58 from @scottie_glasgow is standing out among ’24 Bigs. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @MaxPreps

Quality bigs coming through your program determines the overall success of the team. Getting quality interior linemen like Ryne Randall is critical to a program’s winning formula. Randall is a promising young baller with things to work on, sure; but otherwise he figures to be quite the player going forward and we are happy we will have a front row seat. Enjoy the feature. HB.

@CharlieATerry20 from @echsfb is the @minguabeefjerky ‘Protein-packed Performer of the Week.’ @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @BelfryFootball1

Here is a player who had an extraordinary year and led his team to unprecedented heights. Yessir, Grayson, Kentucky locals will be talking for many years about Charlie Terry we believe. Who better to send some of the country’s finest beef jerky? We agree with you. Enjoy this feature and join us again a week from today as we do this all over. HB.
