’31 versatile star willing to play anywhere his coach needs him…
It is pretty refreshing to find a football star as talented as Elias Clark with the grades he maintains and the varied skill set he possesses. What is even more impressive is willingness to plug in and play wherever needed. Football parents can be demanding and hard with whom to deal. There have been many of mother insist here Boo-Boo is a QB no matter what the team needs, no matter what the coaching staff thinks. Elias Clark is an All-A, Honor Roll, type student who can play TE, WR, LB, and ATH or wherever else he may be needed. That is special among today’s young football stars. With an attitude like his, there is very little doubt he will have a big year in 8th grade and an even bigger HS career going forward. For all these reasons, Clark is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator Feature of the Week.

Big Ass Fans is so much more than just a gigantic fan. It is gigantic quality, gigantic performance, and a gigantic commitment to reliability and innovation. Its size is far from the only selling point about our product. Our product is a Kentucky Comfort Creator. These days, isn’t that exactly what Kentucky needs?
This week our feature is about Elias Clark. Clark is a 5’9,” 148-pound TE, WR, LB, ATH who is an All-A Honor Roll student willing to play wherever his coaching staff and teammates may need him. He gives his talent freely for the betterment and enrichment of the team and not necessarily for himself which is a refreshing attribute to see in a young football star entering the 8th-grade at Hendry County Middle School in Newcastle, KY.

We believe Clark would make a dynamite running back and even a punt/kick returner on special teams with his speed and spacial quicks. Clark is the type athlete one has to have to survive playing football in the commonwealth.
Clark, and players like him, are the reason Henry County fans are feeling optimistic about this coming Fall. Clark and players like him will build a title contender this season at Henry County Middle given adequate support and opportunity.
That is exactly how great high school programs are built. The great programs are constructed from the ground up, just like great businesses, just like Big Ass Fans.

Friday Night Fletch
Newcastle, KY: I have learned quite a bit over the course of my tenure covering middle and high school football in Kentucky. As we are about to enter another season of our radio show, Friday Night, Kentucky, we are preparing for another exciting season of upsets, exceptional plays, Mr. Football runs, All-State team selections, and everything else the greatest sport on earth entails.
Among the most important things I have learned in the years I have committed to covering middle and high school football is the following. One, programs survive on players who selflessly give of their talents to the betterment of their teammates and teams. Two, having a good middle school feeder is paramount to having a successful high school football program.
Elias Clark from Henry County Middle in Newcastle, Kentucky fits the bill so well in a variety of ways. Clark is a 5’9,” 148-pounder who plays TE, WR, LB, and is athletic enough to play anywhere from running-back to offensive guard if that is what his team needs. We also believe Clark has the speed and athleticism to factor in on special teams as a kick/punt returner and expect to see him doing that in high school.
Clark is on the All-A Honor Roll, something critically important in a student athlete hoping to catch on with a college program in the not too distant future. College programs don’t waste time recruiting athletes they can’t get eligible for play. They just move on to the next candidate.
Against Eminence, a private school proximal to Henry County Middle, Clark had a really big game. Clark carried the ball 10-times, gained 154-yards, and scored 4-TDs. Clark housed a pick-six, registered six (6) tackles at LB, and scored an extra-point.
Now that is impacting the outcome of a ball game!
Clark has been quoted as saying I’m playing where Coach needs me… That is a refreshing attitude for a young player to have.
That will endear Clark to his middle school coach and to his next level coaches at both the High School and College levels. After all, it is about the team, and its goals, over an individual and his aspirations.
Those are the guys who end up thriving. Those are the guys who end up being remembered. That is a lesson which extends well past any playing field in any sport.
This is Friday Night Fletch, reporting for KPGFootball; reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE!
